J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

     This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. I ordered the one-shoulder Liberty ruched swimsuit (BF196), final sale but got it for under $60 with promos. Strangely enough, it runs kind of big/long in the torso (and I'm tall), after trying it on I read some reviews of the regular solid color one shoulder suits and most everyone said size down, so darn, with I'd seen those first. It will work with the ruching I can sort of scrunch it to fit, haha, but with I'd bought a size smaller. The Meadow Song floral is SO pretty IRL, I love it, might get a blouse or bandana with the same print. Prettier than online pics.
    I ordered and returned the quilted lady jacket (BF454), it was one of the nicest puffers I tried from JC this year, but the color (desert sand) was too close to my skin tone and looked weird. But it wasn't so NOISY and crinkly like the other 2 I tried.
    I've bought 2 of the oversized silk bandanas (BG640), great sale price, I love the size 30'x30', doesn't feel overwhelming and I can tie it lots of different ways or just drape it over my neck under a jacket.
    I haven't ordered much this Spring from JC at all!

    1. I bought one of the oversized silk bandanas too and I'm thinking of getting another one. I also haven't ordered much from them either. It used to be you could find a few stand out pieces that you couldn't find anywhere else but that's not the case anymore.

  2. From Madewell, I ordered the Sophia Midi Dress in Seersucker Check, item NE745, in black. Reviews that say it runs large are correct. It's nice and long so since I'm tall it works well. Can't address whether or not the white is see through because I ordered black. Also, the waist wasn't too high and the puff sleeves aren't too puffy. I think I now have 2 or 3 items with puff sleeves, and that's it for me. I can't wait for the trend of combining puff sleeves, tiers, and smocking to end.

  3. Olympia has been posting style pics on IG which is fun to look at, but she doesn’t post sizing info (like I sized up two sizes for this look or got these pants in tall inseam). I like her style but how many of us are going to order three sizes of pants? When I try pants in store I actually do try multiple sizes but it’s not practical to order when you need to lay out that much more AND stuff becomes final sale so quickly.
