Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. No visits--not even online. Another shopping fast has begun, and J.Crew has made it easy since I don't even want anything for free.

Quite honestly, it's sort of a relief. I have waaaayyy more than enough (an understatement).

How long is this fast? Well, I'm thinking at least until June 21 (summer solstice), and I truly hope it goes beyond that. Not sure if a whole year would be too ambitious, although it certainly wouldn't hurt me.

    1. That really does take a lot of willpower. I don’t like any of the new arrivals but I always find something. I might make it to spring.
I do have a loose one in/one out policy though and prefer an edited wardrobe for sure.

    2. @Suz Has: I probably won't ever have a true minimalist wardrobe. Well, likely nothing that comes close to that. I'm sure that would make life simple, but I have always loved clothes and seem to like variety. Admittedly, I have taken it a bit too far.

I don't expect it to be difficult. Also, this isn't the best time of year for retail, so that makes it easier.

    3. I am with you MmeJacqueline. Its easy for me not to shop JCrew. Nothing interests me so far. But I have a tough time staying away from NM, Saks, NAP sales.

    4. @Kiki: NAP is more difficult that J.Crew (especially of late).

  2. Anyone else baffled by what seems like JC's disinterest to move out sale items? Only reason I can think of for them to want to keep all this product around longer is perhaps they already know their spring orders are delayed due to congestion from southeast Asia where their production is based?

    1. Yes but I think I say the same thing often. I think it must give them a break to catch up.

    2. Maybe their advisers believe prices drop too quickly and that has caused financial issues?

    3. They drop but then increase.

    4. But I also think the fluctuating prices are part of the strategy too. Plus the cracking down on returns of final sale items and price adjustment requests that are outside of the allowable window.
