I ordered Pacific studded clogs in suedeReplyDelete
Item BE772 in pink (almond biscotti). The soft color and studs are so pretty. Hope they are comfortable. I may save them to use as house shoes.
I've been wearing the wool version as slippers this winter and they are so comfortable I don't want to wear any of my other house shoes!Delete
That’s funny I got the wool version too and I like them but the molded insole hurts my feet. I’ve worn them a bit but had to take a break. Maybe they will mold to my feet though if I wear them more.Delete
And I should add I wear them as slippers.Delete
I Ordered the Ella open Sweater blazer last week when it was on sale. I have similar from Alex Mill and have tried the shorter JCrew version (I think the Sophie sweater blazer) but the length was weird on me.ReplyDelete
Not sure I will wear it styled like this out of the house but it works really well with the collar turned up, over a striped tissue turtleneck and belted high on my waist. I feel like that’s a bit office-y for my regular life and I might just wear it as a layering piece around the house, but I like it and purchased a few as gifts for my girls and my mom. Re:sizing the website suggested sizing down. I bought an XS and S and didn’t even bother trying the XS, I think the S Is perfect for me, so yet again I disagree with the sizing recommendation.
Received the popback of men's boiled merino wool sweater/sweatshirt in black watch. BC603. I was afraid the XL would be too roomy for my husband, but it's actually perfect. I wish I could wear it!ReplyDelete
To the JCAs who recommended the Nordic boots, thank you! I did not like how they looked in the pictures on the website but I desperately needed shoes for the cold on a budget, so I ordered them (paid $34) and I have to say, they look amazing on, much cuter than I expected. So warm!ReplyDelete
Any coat recommendations for sub-30F temperatures?
I don't recommend any JC coats for sub 30. They're just not made for that level of freezing. You could supplement a JC quote with another layer below, such as a down vest from Uniqlo or LLBean.Delete
For non-JC coats, I recommend NorthFace or Woolrich down parkas. Uniqlo down coats (not the light down) are warm for their price though not very stylish.
Agree with eeps, a good down coat is warmest. I've always liked my TNF coats. Layering with one of those thin Uniqlo down vests is a great trick. I live in the middle of Michigan and my everyday winter coat the last few years is a Marmot 700 fill down coat that comes below my hips. I also like my coats to have (non removable) hoods. This is very useful for going from car to grocery store, etc... I can flip up my hood to walk a short way and then put it down when I'm inside. Being outside longer than 3 minutes means full on scarf, wool beanie and down mittens :)Delete
