This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
I was inspired to go through my closet this weekend, partially to try my new editor boots with a variety of bottoms and Anne’s post over the weekend got me thinking about what I’m lacking regarding pants.
ReplyDeleteI tried on the boot with the Turner joggers which are several years old but occasionally make an appearance. It made me realize how I’d like to find a pant with a similar tapered shape but more structured—a high waisted pant with a cropped tapered leg in a material that can be dressed up or down.
Two Jcrew pants come to mind. The curator pant which I got from Poshmark but gave to a daughter. I liked the rear zip version. The others are the paper bag waist pants, tapered version, that came out a few years ago. They were only available in teal and gray. I got the heathered gray but as crazy as it sounds the color didn’t really work for me, it seemed too businessy.
In theory easy pants could work but the rise and elastic waist make them tricky for me. Any ideas? I ordered two from Everlane to try and I’ll report back. The new pleated pant and the Japanese go weave e2 pant.
the Easy pants are my go to for this shape - they work for my figure. I did have my eye on those pleated ones from Everlane, pleats are so tricky but they look really good on the curvy model on the website. good luck and looks like you found some winners going through your closet :)
DeleteOnly one but it’s casual, the turner. The others were all sold or given away. I searched through a few other online merchants but quality is so hard to judge and it seems like everything is poly. I can’t tell if $100 pants will look decent or if they will be comparable to the stuff that influencers push from Amazon. Not interested in the latter.
DeleteI visited my local store for a return and found some great deals in the sale section as many items are $1.99, $4.99, $9.99, $19.99 and $29.99 before the 60% off. I was restrained, and only got a tee for $0.80 and a featherweight cashmere cardi for $12. The SA told me they are trying to clear out the holiday collection.
ReplyDeleteWow. Was that today or over the weekend?
ReplyDeleteI just went to the store today at lunch to see what bargains were on offer. They had a redline section but that stuff wasn't eligible for the extra 60% off. The sale section was considerably smaller as they reorganized the store but still good deals to be had.
DeleteHmm. My store wasn’t great over the weekend re good deals. Wonder if it’s changed.
DeleteI went today and my store (Chicago Southport) didn't have a redline section at all. Some good deals with 60% off but not redline good! So must vary a lot by store.
