Anyone else getting a notice during checkout that your order won't arrive by Christmas Eve?
ReplyDeleteMy vent is that Canada was excluded from Black Friday, cyber Monday and now this weeks promos. This is the first time in 12+ years that I haven’t bought anything for the holiday season. Very upset with jcrew.

DeleteI agree. My server often flips to the U.S. site so I get to see aaall the promotions and get excited for a nanosecond until I realize I'm not on the Canadian site. When I switch over to the Canadian site... nothing. Today's U.S. Promo is 20% off cashmere and I would love to order a few things but I won't pay $160-400 for a cashmere sweater just on principle. I emailed customer service a few months ago and asked "why no promotions? ....and why no flash sales nor free shipping for Canadians anymore?" I've yet to receive a reply. Bit of a slap in the face.
Deleteif we had yesterdays promo....I would have ordered 5 pairs of PJ's . US promo was 50% off....darn it.
DeleteYeah, I'm super disappointed too the promotions are not like it use to be for Canada. It's like Canada fell off their radar. In-store promo is the same as website when I called. Not worth a store trip then... If things continue like this I might start losing interest all together.
DeleteThere are no stores near me since Ottawa closed so I can’t even rely on that. I too had quite a few items in my cart but haven’t purchased any especially seeing the great US promos it’s very upsetting.
DeleteNo stores near me anymore either. My closest store is Yorkdale now and too far for a casual drop in. So I rely on the website but it's always really wonky and often won't let me check out or it keeps emptying my cart. Guess it's a sign to move on to other retailers although I don't want to! I'm not ready to give up my favourite brand :(
DeleteReally missing the wishlist. I can't understand how it's taking this long. Miss JR - I placed an order this morning and I just saw the message that processing time would be longer due to higher volume. Estimated delivery date with free economy shipping is 12/23 which is ridiculous. I will usually get it faster but that's nine business days counting today.
ReplyDeletewhen i went to check out, under each of the shipping options, there was an additional note that said it would not arrive before 12/24 even tho the shipping estimate was 12/23 (or sooner for expedited). maybe it was because it was a pop back sale item?
DeleteWhat's with different prices for different sizes of items? I keep seeing that the Petite/Tall sizes are eligible for promo when the Classic sizes are not (or vice-versa). Maybe this is a case where calling would give you the matching promotion, but I'm just so sick of having to call for everything!
ReplyDeleteShipping is taking forever and two of the three items I ordered are going to be returned. The sweater I received was covered in dog hair! (As in, someone else's dog hair) and the hat I ordered was not as depicted. I can't count on them for any gifts this year.
ReplyDeleteAgree, shipping is SO slow. I don't understand how this keeps happening to J Crew every.single.year. You'd think they'd get the problems fixed so we could shop for gifts online and actually receive them before the holidays!
DeleteHas anyone else lost the ability to make reviews on the JC site? Have I been banned or something? I can see reviews but I can't find a way to write them anymore.
ReplyDeletei can't write any either... and on some of the items i've been looking at, the reviews are months old.
DeleteI haven't been able to write them either, and noticed many items don't have reviews. Reviews would be very helpful for purchasing decisions, but so would my wishlist and JC just doesn't get it or doesn't care.
DeleteAnother vent - I sent a few items back via mail a few weeks ago - if I go this route, I usually generate one mailing label and then generate the other return forms separately saying I'll ship myself. I put everything in the same package. Somehow I got a notification on Tuesday that one of the items was processed but nothing about the other. This is the second or third time this has happened. How on earth are they not processing both at the same time? They're in the same package. I hate paying for return shipping but sometimes it's better than the mall.

ReplyDeleteFrom crew I did luck out with sale bathing suits and I do really like my chateau puffer, but that’s it.
I received a birthday coupon code from MADEWELL and can’t find a thing. If nothing else I will try to find a candle or tshirts in store but it’s so disappointing.
Madewell just canceled one of my items. I got an email saying:

Gee thanks, too bad they aren't sending me the item I ordered that was indicated to be in stock at the time.
This is a terrible message. Perhaps I am older than their target demographic, but this snotty message is unprofessional. I've been buying a lot more madewell clothes, but the diffident staff in my store is such a turn off. Again, maybe someone thinks this is attractive to 20 somethings, but I think 20 somethings like good customer service too.
