Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. No visit for me. A few orders arrived this week - the curvy high waisted skinny jeans in Dryden wash which are a love - ordered my usual size and the slightly higher rise is perfect for my shape. I used to avoid curvy fits when they were first released because I didn't find them flattering but these jeans are awesome. They're a little longer too which I like - I have found that my regular high rise toothpicks are just a little short this time of year.

I also received the black pullover Sherpa and I like it - it's cozy and will be good for running errands. It's a tad short though, I wish the sleeves were a smidge longer so I'm going to make sure I will wear it before the tags come off.

I ordered some jewelry for holiday gifts with the 50 off sale - I'm bummed they don't give boxes anymore, that's definitely something I miss.

Unrelated, a lot of stores have 10% off via ebates today (Rakuten). Saks, Neimans, Bloomingdales, Banana, Old Navy Tory Burch to name a few. Worth checking out if you are shopping online.

    1. Anne, I am with you on the length of the jeans. My high waisted gray wash (I think you have/had the same) only work with boots, and even then they feel a little short.

    1. @heather I have bought 2 from the lele and jcrew collaboration and love them. I have other brands that hurt my head if I wear them for too long, but the lele ones are comfortable and never cause discomfort. They are very pretty.

    2. Thanks Tanya! Good to know. Yeah I usually get a headache by hour 8.

  5. In my JC Card account, there was a banner for "Early Access to Black Friday - 50% off full-price styles and 60% off sale styles - in stores only". Okay JC, you closed all my stores but that's cool. ; )

    1. As a tall person (and a cardholder) I don't benefit from in store shopping, so I won't be going.

  6. I'll be visiting to make returns!

I found a popback of the ponte wide leg patch pocket pants (my dream-fit pants) in small - but received a pair of navy blue peyton pants in size 8. CS was great and have already refunded me and sent a label to ship it back.

I also received the roll-neck cotton cropped sweater. I ordered a size up (M) from my normal. The sweater I received is so tiny I checked the number to see if I was shipped a child's size M. The chest is only 17" across and the length is 17". The sleeves are 20" long and so tiny I could barely get my hand in much less my actual arm. If the tags were not on I would think someone boiled it and dried at 500 degrees. I think it might fit an XXXS but not a hulking great size S like me. It's got to be a label error, because the sweater has great reviews...

    1. OMG that’s almost comical.

    2. Yes, the two items I thought I was ordering would have made a cute outfit together. But what I received would have been interesting - pants two sizes too big and a sweater two sizes too small...if I added a pair of my husbands shoes it would have been complete. Then I could finally start posting to my dormant Insta.

    3. Oh that’s a bummer on the ponte pants. I grabbed a pair on red line clearance for $9.98 after last Christmas and have been stalking for more ever since.

  7. I went to Jcrew store today in Lynnfield mass. No one greets customers anymore, no mention of sales, I did see some things I might order but overall a bit depressing. Some of the items looked poorly made, no style guides, missing the old jcrew

    1. I went to Burlington and Lynnfied MA (lots of returns so I split them up). Staff was definitely friendlier in Burlington...it was busier there as well. I was told the new rollout items were out on the floor but the only thing I noticed was the green cashmere fair isle...which I was looking for after I saw it in spotted it on the style hacks video. I was disappointed...it was very thin and probably too short for me...I might consider it if it gets marked down, I like brights and thinner sweaters come March and April when it is spring everywhere else but still cold in MA. I asked when new items would be on-line but no one in either store seemed to know which boggles my mind.

    2. I had to go watch the video clips to look for the sweater. That is a good one to watch for end of season sales. I bought a heavy cashmere fair isle in navy/peony/white on clearance last spring for under $30. It's so nice I've be eager for cold weather so I could get it out.

    3. If only there was a wishlist to keep track of it!

  8. I received my $25 birthday “voucher”in the mail. Not to be combined with any other promos. It’s December. Everything is on promo! As if having a Dec birthday isn’t bad enough.
Has anyone used theirs recently? How has the store handled it? In the past they’ve combined but at this rate who knows.

    1. If you know what you’d want to buy, give my store (Louisville, KY) a call. The manager there is Jason and he’s the best. They’d have no problem combining it for you.

    2. Thank you! That’s super helpful.

    3. I've also always had luck just calling to place an order with it to use it with promos

  9. I went this morning for their pre-Black Friday sale for “loyal customers.” It was 50% off full price and 60% off sale. I bought a Juliette blazer in camel (TTS if you want it slightly oversized/wearable with thinner sweaters), several cotton crew neck sweaters for my husband, a woven leather belt ($15 less 60%) for him, and two sweatshirt type tunics for myself ($59 before discount). The associate had trouble finding the sweatshirts online (I needed a diff size in one color) so I’m not sure if they’re up there yet.

The line to check out was insane and the dressing rooms were full. It was so nice to see the store hopping! I hope they do this type of event again around June or so as it seemed very fruitful for them and moved lots of merchandise.

Also if you’re a size 2, there’s a white denim shirt at my store (Louisville) for $19! They may apply a % off of it too since it’s clearance merch.

  10. Grand reopening at Natick Mall today. 50% off until noon. The line was wrapped around and around, but everyone was calm and they had people handing out mimosas and sparkling water. It was a great event. Scored lots of new items not on the website, like the jeweled button popover in Blackwatch plaid. I’m so glad they reopened that store.
