  1. Site seems to be down, but maybe that means the wishlist is coming back! Has everyone else just been keeping 23 items in their cart for the past few weeks like I have, lol?

  2. @alyssa It would be great if the wishlist comes back. On the other hand: why does it take them so lang to implement this feature, doesn’t seem like rocket science to me...

  3. WISH LIST!!

Seriously... there is no way that feature should be down on any website for this long... And this close to the holidays. And what is so special about this new wish list? It's just a list of stuff I'm keeping an eye on. It doesn't need to be fancy. I can't think of any other site that doesn't have done kind of wish list/favorites list.

  4. I’ve been looking at boyfriend blazers for awhile, not sure if they’ll be great or a disaster on me. I tried on one of my husband’s and decided the longer length works. Today I see JCREW has a glen plaid boyfriend blazers on sale. Acrylic, poly etc...originally $248. It would be just over $100 on sale but no thanks.
This might be a good item to find vintage in the men’s department, or if I decide to pull the trigger I might do the Everlane one which is mostly wool.

    1. My boyfriend blazer is the jacket from my own 1990-ish suit. It's a nice charcoal tweed, and kind of works with everything. It didn't have any shoulder pads (I have never bought anything with shoulder pads as my own shoulders are so wide!) and the lapels are narrow. I'm a bit thinner now than I was so that gives me the slightly oversize fit. You may find a women's 'vintage' that works for you too.

    2. Yes that’s true but for some reason bigger womens sizes seem really big, maybe because of the chest issue. or the shoulder pads! Not sure.

    3. @Suz, I’ve always purchased Navy blazers from the men’s side to get a slightly oversized but tailored look. I purchased a navy men’s blazer 25 yrs ago in Paris and still wear it today! Haven’t tried Jcrew’s men’s. I tried Jcrew’s boyfriend in the plaid and also the sapphire blue. Didn’t look good on my frame and didn’t care for the plaid. Purchased the Madewell Dorset plaid blazer in Navy. Got it for less than $100.00 through Nordstrom. Sized down in it. Not bad looking as I was looking for a navy plaid. Certainly not worth the normal price and even at less than $100. 00. My humble opinion. I’ll keep it only because of the navy plaid and that’s it. Hope they reduce it further, at least I can get a price adjustment should the price drop. I’m a 34D and don’t consider myself busty busty and thin but I agree sizing is crazy with blazers in general. I have a feeling though females are more busty today naturally or otherwise which might explain the sizing. I’ve glanced around IG at times viewing some people and with all the ridiculous filters they’re using one simply doesn’t get a clear picture of how they really are size wise. And the outfits or shoes they’re wearing. Again just a humble thought.

  5. J Crews lack of promos for Canadians...$14 shipping. I could go on...but it just gets worse.

  6. Instead of using a wish list, I just add items to my favorites on my phone if something interests me enough to wait for a sale. Later I can click on each to quickly check for availability and stalk for longed for sold out pieces. Today a pretty little holiday scene complete with a penguin holding a package pops up and says it’s a default error. It happens for items that are out of stock. Now you can’t see the item number, reviews etc. Uggh! I hope this is only temporary.

  7. Ditto on the wishlist. I can't understand why it is taking this long. It's also baffling to me how much of the summer stuff is still in the sale section. While it's definitely nice to be able to find stuff for winter vacations, it should all be in it's own category at this point, most of what you're weeding through are summer dresses and tees.

    1. Sort of like the HO18 velvet tops that were available well into the summer!

    2. And then promptly replaced by this year’s version! (Which IMO seems to have a more flattering shape.)

  8. For everyone wondering about when the wishlist will be back, it's not good news. In a reply to someone asking about the wishlist on the J.Crew instagram account (on the post showing the outside of a store with the penguin decorations), @jcrew says "sorry to say the wishlist isn't something that we'll have back before the holidays, but stay tuned." Ridiculous!

    1. Wow, I don’t understand what is so difficult about the wishlist capability?! On another note, my store told me earlier this year that they heard our complaints that the holiday rollout is too late and that it would be different this year. Now it seams they will be making the same mistake as the new rollout won’t be on-line until next week. Why?? Thanksgiving is a week later this year! As they say in Pretty Woman....Big Mistake. Big! Huge! I’m taking no chances after last year’s shipping debacle so I’ll be shopping somewhere else...

    2. This wish list thing has got to be the dumbest thing they've ever done.

    3. So frustrating. I can't understand how they thought this was a good business decision to get rid of the wish list during the holidays.

  10. Loeffler Randal Starla sandals arrived. Going back. They’re cheap looking had difficulty even tying the laces which were rough in texture also the heel area, and no support on the soles. Not Jcrew’s fault, every reseller is selling them. Certainly not even worth what I paid for at less than $60.00. Don’t waste your money on these!!

    1. Thank you for the info, so adorable and I love stars but I didn’t think they looked all that flattering or comfortable.

  11. Exactly. By the way are you familiar with Misha Nonoo? Saw some black items that you might like. I ordered a couple of husband shirts one black and one white. They have some black cropped pants too:) love the Everlane’s though!

    1. I’ve heard of them but I’ll take a look. Truth be told I am loving being more minimal. I have a few pairs of black pants I love for almost any occasion and lots of fun shoe/accessories It makes dressing up almost effortless.
