No store visit for me this weekend. For any JCAs that shop the J.Crew in Calgary, what are your thoughts? Is it a large store? How is the merchandise selection?

DeleteI also can't believe they're not doing +% sale with 2500+ in the sale section. Although knowing there's no PAs for sale now, I did succumb and bought a popback this AM without a promo - the lady jacket with ties that just happened to show up in my size. I've been stalking that thing for two years, couldn't even find it on Posh. Hoping it ships now.
ReplyDeleteGot my CAPTOE espadrilles. I ordered 8 and 8.5 because I read they ran big and I assume they’ll stretch a bit. The 8 just fits. My toes hit the end but I think it may work better than a loose 8.5 (which should show up later). I really like them. Nicer than sneakers, easy slip on and go.

DeleteI sadly posted a bunch of negative reviews at Factory. I don't know why I delude myself that it is ever a good idea to make a purchase there. Note to self: if it is cheap, it will look cheap!
ReplyDeleteOn the plus side, my 2007 tipped black/ivory Lexington blazer is arriving today. It's sad that I'd rather scour eBay for twelve year-old "pre-war" JC than shop the new stuff. (Also I saw a circa 1975 pic of Brian May wearing a similar tipped jacket and decided I had to have it.)
Ha! Brian May was my favorite guitar player in the 1970's. And I have the black/grey tipped Hacking jacket.

ReplyDeleteI finally wore my white slingbacks (I had to force myself instead of wearing the snake ones) and LOVE them, they’re so comfortable and the perfect heel for walking a few blocks. I searched high and low for white pumps and aside from the Everlane ones at nearly triple the price (since I got these on sale) these were the best option I could find.
I know I was really disappointed about no % off sale! Glad to hear you love the slingbacks, they’ve been really tempting me 😊
Deleteadding to the “where’s the sale on sale” chorus ... of course there’s a popback i need, but i’m holding firm without a code since it’s only discounted 10% or so. i miss the PA days! it was a gentler time. lol.
ReplyDeleteStopped in the store for some returns from the prime and 60% sales. I looked at the Ratti grandi fiori print and decided I like it less IRL than online. Also the Point Sur wide-leg tailored indigo jumpsuit, which I will keep an eye on. I like that you can wear a regular bra with it. The trim at the waist is cute.
