Happy Thanksgiving Day! {celebrating w/ J.Crew}?

First and foremost... Happy Thanksgiving Day everyone! (I am pretty sure we will all be super busy eating celebrating today.) It's the time of year where we can spend time with our loved ones and enjoy a fantastic meal. It also officially starts the Holiday season. :)

Per JCA tradition, this post is to find out what everyone is going to wear. I find it really interesting to see what other Aficionadas and Aficionados plan on wearing (and of course it gives me lots of wonderful ideas for future outfits). :) So for this post, what we are planning to wear on Thanksgiving Day? :)

I am planning on wearing an outfit centered around J.Crew's French Hen in Acorn. (I have both colors, navy and acorn. I even wore the Navy version for last year's Thanksgiving Day.)

Yes it is not a turkey, but seems like a good sweater to wear for today. I am pairing it with Madewell's Skinny Skinny Ankle Jeans in Nightfall (love these!), J.Crew's Cece Ballet Flats in Suede, and J.Crew's Bow Collar Necklace. Cute and comfortable is what I am going for.

What are you planning to wear this Thanksgiving Day? Are you planning to go "head to toe" J.Crew or parts J.Crew?

  1. Happy Thanksgiving, Alexis. Your outfit is adorable! I haven't decided, but I am leaning towards my glitter Darby loafers, same color blue zipped merino pullovers, and the most comfortable pants that match...

  3. Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for sharing all the J.Crew inside scoops all year long! I am going to wear my J.Crew Tipped Peacoat from 2 years ago and the J.Crew Dannie pants plus Tory Burch Simone bootie. This will probably be my Black Friday shopping outfit tonight as they are short and light enough to be super easy to put on and off while I try on clothes/shoes in stores. :D

  5. Happy Thanksgiving Alexis & everyone! That sweater is perfect for today. I've been reading this blog for so many years, and I agree with everyone above.

Today, I'm wearing a chambray shirt under a colorful Fair Isle sweater from a few years ago paired with corduroys.

  11. Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating. Thanks for the post, Alexis. It's one of my favorites as is the French Hen top.
I wore the stretch merino wool sweater in lilac ash, black matchstick jeans, boucle peplum jacket and the hinged choker. All JC except my black booties.

OT - got an email, Factory has 50% off everything in stores and on-line with free shipping on orders $50 and over with code 'Thanks'. It looks like it started on the 25th, but I just got the email today. Guess I'm late to the party. Runs through Nov. 30th.
