J.Crew Factory Email: It keeps getting better: extra 30% off all sale

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Irina, who shared the following email from J.Crew.

J.Crew Factory (click here to shop online) is open and they are offering customers to take an additional 30% off all sale items (no min) with promo code LOVEIT. This offer expires Monday, May 28, 2012.

As JCAs know... if you live near a Factory Store, check them out first. The B&M Factory Stores tend to have better promotions and sale prices. Especially since customers can take 20% off any purchase of $125+. This offer is good through June 23, 2012. Just click HERE and print it out (so the associate can access the barcode).

Will you be checking out the Factory Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?

  1. As always, my timing is impeccable... I received this email exactly one hour and five minutes after placing a regular sale order - totally forgot to check out the Factory site! The tissue scoopnecks are a great deal at around $6 each and I totally would've picked up several of them. Oh well.

As for what I did purchase, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the 30% off applied to the Merino v-neck cardigan (formerly known as Jenna's v-neck cardi) even though it's not technically a sale item ending in $.99. I'd been stalking the navy and the heather flax for a while, and even though I got all of the winter '11 colors for around $18 cheaper than I paid today, it's an item I love that I know I will get a ton of use out of. All 7 of my winter ones have held up really nicely. Now just waiting for a markdown on the Super 120s pencil skirts... I want two of them and while I do think that it's an item for which I can rationalize paying full price since I have a bunch and I love them, clothing items under $115 are not taxable in NYC and the skirts are $118 so I'd end up spending an extra $10.47 per skirt in tax and it's always the little details like that where I transform into Little Ms. Cheapo. (NYC gets enough of my money in taxes as it is!!)

I also bit on some perfect fit tanks - always a staple for me - and the Petite No. 2 pencil skirt in neon tweed to bring my order over the free shipping threshold. I'm skeptical about that one as I haven't yet seen it in person and I'm not sure if it's more of a hot peach or a hot pink (would prefer peach) but thankfully final sale is over so it was worth the gamble. Has anyone seen it IRL?

  2. Can anyone comment on how the fabric on the factory trench compares to the regular icon trench? I know the factory trench has gotten great reviews so I'm interested with the promo. But I am curious if it feels smooth and soft to the touch. And are either actually waterproof?

  4. Does anyone know if you can order from a J Crew Factory store over the phone? I'm trying desperately to find the factory turquoise bubble necklace for some events coming up in June and it's backordered online until July :( I was thinking about calling some J Crew outlet stores to see if they have it in store, but I'm not sure if I could order from them via phone...
