J.Crew of Season's Past: {a look in the closet}

It's that time again, to take a look at an image of J.Crew pieces from seasons past! As caribbelle (in this post) so beautifully termed, "ye olde j crew of yore".

This little number is the Harlequin Silk Organza Dress from 2007. I want this dress. I need this dress. It is absolutely stunning. I love it all- the thick straps, fitted bodice, and gorgeous harlequin print full skirt... my precious.

What are your thoughts on the look(s)/item(s) from the past? Do you find the look(s)/item(s) classic or do you think they are dated?

  1. Alexis! This post cracked me up. Sounds like you'd do the ol' bitesomeone'shand-at-Christmas-sale for this one. I hope you get your precious.

  2. Lol. Alexis you are too funny. But alas, I'm just not feeling this one. I'd feel like the Joker in that print and full skirt. Ahhh full skirts, the bane of my existance. I can never tell which ones will fit right.

  3. GigiOfCa: LOL! It IS true, I would bit someone out of the way for this dress. ;)

    D*ska: Your right! It does have a joker-vibe to it. :) (It reminds me a lot of the character "Harley Quinn" from the animated Batman cartoon I use to watch growing up.) Your love/hate relationship with full skirts hits home with me since it is the exact one I have with pencil skirts!

  5. So cute! There were so many cute silk organza dresses that came out in 2007. I just love the full body of it and how airy it is at the same time.

  6. *sigh* I also refer to it as the Harlequin dress.(my reference being harlequin romance novels and the amazing dresses the cover models would wear)Spotted it on Ebay last year and almost cried at the price it ended for...Alas it wasn't my size.

  7. I've never seen this dress but wow, it's lovely. I never go anywhere that would be appropriate for wearing it, so I will just admire from the sidelines. :)

  8. I've loved Jcrew for years, and I honestly have to admit I don't remember this dress. But it's gorgeous. I always lament that I have absolutely no where to wear a dress like this. Sobs! My precious indeed.
