You've Got Mail ...Rewards Cards are Here! :)

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Jaymie (in this post), who let us know about the following news regarding J.Crew card members:

HOLIDAY rewards cards are being mailed to qualifying card members now! :) The holiday rewards card expires December 15, 2011.
So if you are a card member, *check* your mail to see if you got your Rewards Card! :)

For future reference, if you have a personal shopper they can look up and apply your rewards to an order for you if the end of the reward period has passed but you haven't yet received your mailed card. This reward period ended September 30 so the info was available to my personal shopper during the 25% off promo.

  5. Ooh! Going to check my mail tonight! Generally, I only like using the rewards cards in store when I can try things because I'm afraid I'll lose out with a return.

    Does anyone know if they will give you a gift card back if you have to return something you used rewards to buy? Banana is NOT good about that. . .in my experience you just get back what you paid and lose the rewards (ie. they are not issued to you as a gift card).

  6. Anyone know if points expire? I've spent way too much money at JCrew this year but have yet to receive a rewards card. I'm wondering if my points overlapped rewards "periods" and are expiring ....

  8. CCS, they will either give you a gift card or if you paid with a credit card, will just put the entire balance on your credit card.

  9. Ditto they will give you a new gift card if you return what you bought with your rewards card.

    Also FYI, if you return something you bought with your Banana Republic rewards certificates, they tack those on to your next certificate so you don't lose them either.

  10. I also received my rewards card in the mail today. Ditto to Sara's previous comment - Banana Republic does reimburse returned rewards cards. They started doing this over the last year or so. Great move on their part!

    Great news about the Banana Republic rewards too. I was burned years ago, so was always really careful. Glad they made that change.

    Mine still didn't show up in the mail, but hopefully within the week.

  12. Received my rewards card in the mail today. Of course, right after I made a big purchase, but I still have several other J.Crew items on my wish list! Thanks for the tip re: calling up a personal shopper, Desert Flower.

  13. A day after receiving my rewards card I received a new *black* J. Crew credit card - any one know what the deal is with that? I had a silver one before that. Doesn't seem like there are any additional perks, so not sure why they've sent me a new one.
