Preface: A big "thanks!" to Ibi who suggested weekly 'Looking to LOVE' and 'Looking to HATE' posts where we could all "deposit" our best & worst current experiences. I think it is a brilliant idea and will try it out for a few weeks. Hopefully this will help out our fellow JCAs! :)
This is the weekly "Looking to LOVE with J.Crew" post, a place to share our favorite experiences with J.Crew.
If you have recently experienced a positive situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.
Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including stellar experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.
I tried to cancel my order, but the cancellation must not have been processed b/c I never wound up getting the cancellation email. I emailed jcrew about it, and the jcrew rep said she couldn't stop the order, but she specifically authorized a return authorization for it (it was a final sale item). I'm glad it was handled appropriately, timely, and the rep was very kind in her response to me.
ReplyDeleteI am loving my abraccio cardigan. found it over the holidays while on vacation so got the extra discount. It is soooo soft and comfortable, beautiful quality. every single time I wear it I get compliments from men and women alike and people I don't even know. It does run large...
ReplyDeleteI ran into my b&m yesterday to make a few returns, and they had this gorgeous new blouse out on display. It's a very hot pink simple cotton/silk tank top blouse. It's not too neon-y. I absolutely love it and must get it.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving my velvet schoolboy blazers! They fit perfectly and go so well with other things I already have -- glad I picked them up during FS, and so happy they were only $34.99 a pop. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I would like to have a moment of silence for my dearly departed perfect-fit tank. It was the ideal shade of cream with slight brownish undertones, and I could wear it with just about anything. I made the mistake of tossing it in the washer with a few other things, and somehow it got twisted around the swooshing element and ripped to high heaven. Boooooooooooo. :/ Must find replacement ASAP!
Elaine: I got my velvet schoolboy blazer yesterday in olive moss and
ReplyDeleteI like the fit (fits tts) and got mine the same price. Did yours come with some wrinkles along the arms? I wonder if I can steam them out?
(moment of silence for Elaine's tank and other lost JCA favorites)
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled that absolutely none of my items were canx during my winter/holiday orders. I was a lucky one.
I love my breeze Jackie that I got for $28 (now back up to full price for some reason). Such a great color.
ReplyDeleteJust for the compendium of knowledge I will post this rare GOOD JC experience. It was the first day of extra 40% off final sale and I snagged a muse tank for 20.99 and a merino cardigan. 3 days pass. Instead of the order shipping the next day, like they usually do. I then get the dreaded email- we're sorry, but we're out of one of your items (the muse tank). They send the cardigan all by itself. Fast forward 10 days, and what do we have now, but the muse tank back in stock in that color and size for $29.00. I am still upset about it, so I call CS and get her to ship my lost muse for the original $20.99 with shipping waived. It was not a pop back, but they found "many" of them in that color and size. I don't know what they are smoking back there in the JC warehouse. It shipped and I will have it tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI ordered the men's jaspe tee on final sale and was sent the wrong size by mistake. (The plastic bag AND tag said XL but I got an XS instead). Because the item was final sale, I was worried I wouldn't be allowed to make a return. I explained the mistake at the B&M store and the SA apologized and refunded me the full amount.
ReplyDeleteJust got off the phone with a super nice CS rep (Corey sp?). I finally tracked down a double-serge pencil in nightfall blue and was sent the wrong size! :-( The invoice and packaging bag said 10, but the skirt was a 12 and sadly, too big. Corey apologized several times, explained all my return options (including how much each cost) and submitted a WWFIFY for a replacement. He even offered to spring for free overnight shipping for a skirt of a different color if my sweet nightfall blue could not be found. Great job, Corey!
ReplyDeleteHad to make a couple of trips to the store to return items, and the SAs were fantastic! No looks, eye rolls, or commentary; instead they were courteous and fast.
ReplyDeleteI got the Sequined boyfriend sweater. I was quite reluctant to order it because I do not like lambswool and it was in final sale, but now I love it. It is pretty, warm and comfortable and the wool is not itchy at all.
ReplyDeleteaumander, how much did you pay for the nightfall skirt in the 12? That's my size and I may call JC to see if they can send it to me when they get it back!
ReplyDeleteJruby, I paid $118. I'll be returning it to the King of Prussia Mall (PA) b&m on Saturday.
ReplyDeletethanks aumander! I may call there tomorrow evening.
ReplyDeleteI'm very pleased with my Gibson platform sandals. I normally wear a 6 sandal and 6.5 close-toed shoe. I bought the Gibson sandal in 6.5 and it fits nicely. I bought the anchor gray color, it looks in real life exactly how it looked on my computer. I was planning to wear them with tights, but they look great bare feet. Less mummy-wrap than the Lindy. I wish they came in a pale color, like warm taupe, I'd definitely buy another pair then!
