Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER & FALL sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Surprised to see that pseudo outlet site is still up - wonder if they know about it yet?

I took advantage of the sweater promo and got three cashmere sweaters and a backup of the Crystal Patterns necklace. Getting the 25% off on the necklace made it a little more palatable to do.

  2. I guess the lawyers are taking the weekend off too! :)

  3. That's too funny. You'd think a publicly traded corporation would be in better lookout for illegal stuff like that. Pretty scary.

  4. Can anyone comment on the quality of the rimini cardigan? I bought it this weekend for $78, which is still expensive to me, and I swear I already see pilling. Has anyone worn it more than a couple times that can comment? The fit is definitely cute. I need to decide between keeping this or the mirabella henley. Thanks!

  5. I went in on Saturday to take advantage of the sweater promo and blogged about a few items here .

The sale section at the Orlando store had a ton of Bettina camis, the Metallic beach cardi in silver, Dot Chiffon Betsy wrap camis, tees, and a handful of Paisley Flouncette Blouses size 6 and up.

Have a great Labor Day everyone! :)

  6. I caved in and took advantage of the Labor Day free shipping....pulled the trigger on the Fleurette Bow Cami, Fleurette pencil skirt (if it's too small I have a skinny sister, I'll show that final sale who's boss...) and the Festival Shell (pretty excited about all of these, even if they aren't the most transitional pieces!)
Would've gone to the BM for the sweater promo but the sweaters have been fitting me poorly this fall...I tried on the Rimini cardigan and the cashmere V-neck last time and they both seem to be too tight in the arms and too loose in the torso, does anyone else have this problem?

  8. The double serge pencil skirt finally popped back in size 6 in the papaya color I've been drooling over on Saturday morning! I couldn't check out fast enough.

With the 20% coupon from the September catalog, the grand total for the skirt was $39.99.

Not a shabby way to reign in the spending!

  9. Claire I have had some arm tightness issues this year both in the cashmere and in the Herringbone style plaid shirts. But I did get two v-necks this weekend because over a short sleeve white t-shirt and jeans, I just loved the look. If they have another sweater promo I will probably get a few more.

latte is my verification. Singing my song!

  10. Has anyone tried the white short sleeve tees at Eddie Bauer or Lands End Canvas? I'm noticing that the neck on the crewneck perfect Ts is getting too floopy after the first wash. New it looks great but less so after. Any feedback on similar but more durable white short sleeve tees would be great since the Perfect is slim-fitting under clothes.

  11. nesorI went to my b&m this morning and bought a few things: heather riding pant - love these, so comfy, sequin panel tank, infinity cardi, and northern lights necklace. Even though the infinity was marked down, it still rang up with the 20% off sweaters promo. :) According to my ps, things are not looking good. All the promos are a sign of what's not happening. He agreed that waiting for a markdown was the only way to shop. The tissue tux henley, which was brand new a little over a week ago, is now marked down to 24.99! Couldn't believe it. Most of the sale items have been around for a while, just have another markdown. New October items plus a few pre-holiday items will be in my b&m this Friday.

  12. I was just told over the phone that as of Sept. 12 they will no longer apply the student/teacher discount over the phone so it will be in store only. Bummer!!
