J.Crew Spotted in People Magazine

"Thanks!" to Jessica, who not only let us know about a few J.Crew items being spotted in the latest issue of People, but also scanned the images for us to view! (Click on the image to see it larger.)

The page on the left features Elin wearing a J.Crew tank top. Unfortunately, it is hard to tell from the way she is posing which one it is.

The page on the right features Brittany Spears sporting the Bettina Cami (Item 28505; $79.50, now $49.99). I have to say, she looks pretty darn good with it!

What are your thoughts on the items featured? Do you own or tried on the Bettina Cami? If so, please share! :)

  1. Hi just a head's up if anyone wants a 20% coupon for jcrew.com just email me conspiratorialwink[@]gmail.com First come first serve. It ends Sept. 5th, so if you're buying lots of items this may be worth it. I got it from the JCrew catalog.

  2. New arrivals are up! Even though I agree with the majority that JC's items seem blah as of late, I can almost always find a few things from every rollout that I like. From this rollout, nothing. Everything just seems so blah and uninspired. Sad for me, but my wallet's happy.

  3. Howdy,
I'm an associate at a JCrew. And we actually had Miss Spears come into our store a couple times. She wasn't a big diva or anything. Just wanted to put my two cents in on this post.

  4. I impulsively bought the cami on final sale - and, luckily, I love it. Seems like a good summer piece on its own - and will be good for fall when topped with a sweater. The material isn't silk - a nice change from the Frances and Kelsey.

  5. Just a side note...I'm so excited for Britney's Glee episode! She looks great :)

  6. I know I am not the only one--hopefully--but not a fan of the Bettina Cami. I saw it in stores when it first came out and I didn't even want to try it on. I like the fact that it is made out of cotton but all I could think of was Little House on the Prairie and cannot still get that thought out of my head.

That said, Britney does look nice in it!

  7. I have the Bettina in the Tuscan Olive and I love it. However, I have to steam the darn thing and I'm sure if SA's at B&M had steamed it it would have been more presentable.

  8. Genny, I thought the same thing when I first saw the top. However, I purchased it as a ride along to get free shipping because my store didn't have the dried rose and I loved it on.

It is a nice counterpoint to a tailored work skirt and it looks great with jeans. As long as the rest of the outfit doesn't scream barn dance, it works.

I do not like it on Brittany in the least.

  9. I have the Bettina cami in the olive color and love it! I agree with kitsmommy . . .as long as the other pieces are modern, it doesn't look country. I'm planning to wear it under a purple velvet blazer in the fall.
