This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER & FALL sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
Ordered the Suede MacAlister Wedge boots. Has anyone else bought them? Did you like them?
ReplyDeleteJust ordered the 484 slim-fit jeans in the black resin crinkle wash and a "roughed-out" leather belt. Used my catalog coupon for an extra 20% off, too! Where are all the J Crew Aficionados?

ReplyDeleteTried on Madewell's Bromley blouse and loved it. Bought both colors -- ivory & racoon (beautiful rich taupe shade; not too brown, not too grey). TTS; I wear a size 2 in JC's perfect shirts & took an XS in this. Hidden button placket is less distracting for layering necklaces. Bit expensive at $98 but as I see it as a great layering piece & timeless classic.

ReplyDeleteWent to the Crewlet this weekend- nothing all that spectacular. I snagged a ton of perfect LS crew and Vnecks for lounging around this fall and winter. They did a have a good sweater though- It was a blend between the new infinity cardigan and the featherweight long cardi from the spring. Same cut as the featherweight, but done in a merino wool. I picked one up in charcoal, but they had a bunch of rich muted shades for fall
ReplyDeleteElizabath, I ordered the MacAlister Wedges as well. I tried them in store and I loved them. Super comfy and stylish. I am between 8 and 8.5 and I sized up to 9 and the fit was perfect. I was waiting for at least 20% off but there were only 2 in my size left so I caved in. The brown color is backordered until December! I ordered them as well, just in case.

ReplyDeleteI got the last Island Paisley blouse my B&M had in stock (woo hoo!). Beautiful! It is a bit long, though, so I'm going to have some of the length taken off and a straight hem put in so I can wear it out. I might get it taken in just a touch around the waist too.
ReplyDeleteSubscribing.
ReplyDeleteajc I have to thank you, I had the MacAlister wedges on my "2nd tier" wish list because it's August. When you mentioned that they were selling out, I checked and sure enough, you were so right. Grr, I debated all weekend while watching the stock deplete and finally broke. I got the Nut because I think it is more neutral but if I had had a coupon I would have gotten the pewter too and now they are backordered as well. Thanks so much for putting a note out there.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if this is the correct area to post this. But I have seen in the past that some of you order from Boden as well. I just saw their catalog and was wondering if they are TTS or do I need to size down?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Christine, you should size down on Boden. However, if you are petite, their clothes do not fit as well - proportions are off. I have been writing to them for a few years now asking for petites to be offered (they do have tall offerings). Maybe if more customers write in, they will consider.
ReplyDeleteBe sure and look at each garment measurements that are shown with each item.
ReplyDeleteYou can not make a blanket statement to size down in Boden IMO.
I actually wear the same size blazer in Boden that I do at JCrew.
All their items run a bit different though so the garment measurements are critial to get the right size.
I really like Boden a lot.
I picked up the dot chiffon betsy wrap cami ($59.99 in the store vs. $69.50 online) ... super cute/true to size ... I'm very pleased with my purchase!
