J.Crew Factory Promo: Enjoy $20-25 Off Purchases of $100+

"Thanks!" to egyptomaniac (in this post), who shared the following news/promotion with us:
Alexis and others shopping today-- Last week I got a card in the mail with coupons for Factory discounts throughout the month.  Dec. 1st-Dec. 7th is $20 off a $100 purchase (or $25 off $100 for cardmembers). Code: THEBEST (CARDPLUS for cardmembers).  It didn't look like a unique code, and I did a mock checkout and it worked, so it might be worth trying today.
I want to also mention that the above image of the card can be found over at egyptomaniac's Instagram account (click here to check it out).

This is a pretty nice deal. Definitely useful for those interested in today's amazing Cyber Monday prices!

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? Any items you are interested in? If so, please share!

I got a big ol' envelope from J.Crew, and it said "Lovely to Meet You" on the front. Inside was a giant lookbook of all their favorite pieces for the summer, along with unique code for 20% off next purchase in J.Crew stores or jcrew.com. I believe it's a card member's perk.
"Thanks!" to Cate & Teeny84 (in this post) who also confirmed receiving this mail piece from our favorite retailer. "Thanks!" to Angela, who shared the above image with us.

That is a pretty nice surprise to find! So keep an eye out in the mail for the lookbook {and 20% off promotional code} from J.Crew! :)

J.Crew Card Members: Check the Mailbox!

"Thanks!" to Silver Lining (in this post) who shared the following news with us:
Hey JC cardholders, keep an eye on your mail - I received a new card yesterday (not sure why, since they don't have an expiration date on them) and included in the envelope was a coupon for 20% off your next purchase of $100+ online or in store when you use the JC card. Good until 11/18/12. The coupon says "Here's a little something special (after all, we did promise you perks)". Hee hee!
"Thanks!" to FirefighterWife who also shared that news and the image above which shows the backside of mailer.

Haven't Shopped at J.Crew in Awhile {get a gift card & make an appointment with a personal shopper}

"Thanks!" to Mary, Sarah, as well as Misty Lynn (in this post) & Angela (in this post) who let us know that J.Crew is reaching out to several customers with a "we miss you" or "your such a great customer" note and a $25/$50 gift card via snail mail.

A big "thanks!" to Sarah who was kind to share with us a scan of the letter included with the gift card she received (image shown above in post). Another big "thanks!" to Mary who was kind to share with us a scan of the letter included with the gift card she received (image shown below in post).
It seems like J.Crew is targeting those in the extreme ends of the client spectrum- either excellent customers or customers who have not been frequenting the retailer in recent months. It is actually a sweet (& smart) move to offer a generous gift card while promoting their personal shopper services. Well played!

Did you get a gift card/note in the mail? Did you get a letter? Will you be taking advantage of J.Crew's offer? If so, please share! :)

J.Crew's September Collection Catalog in the Mail

"Thanks!" to Gem Twin, Math Teacher, & Naomi (in this post) who let us know the following: the "collection" catalog is being mailed out to customers!

I am not sure if it looks like the regular catalog (with its glossy pages) as Math Teacher mentioned that she received the "collection "newspaper" today".

In any form (regular vs newspaper), it is something to look forward to. So check your mailbox to see if you got the latest Collection catalog! :)

Jenna's Pant Picks {mailer insert}

A big "thanks!" to Elizabeth who not only shared the following news, but also scanned the images for us to view!
In one of her orders, she found a tri-fold brochure with Jenna's Pants Pick. The front shares the following:
The finest fabrics. The best fit. A pant for every need. From our favorite matchstick jean to the magical Minnie, here are the season's can't-live-without pants. Own them all.
The first section features the Minnie & Skimmer Pants. They share the following advice:
The Minnie. Otherwise known as the magic pant (because it looks that good on everyone). Since our original stretch twill Minnie was so popular, we now offer the same amazing fit in lightweight stretch Italian wool and denim styles. Jenna Says: This pant is so versatile. Pair it with a crisp button-down for work or a feminine top for a night out- either way, finish with a cool military jacket.

The Skimmer. Your new go-to in seven stylish colors for every day of the week. Jenna Says. Wear the skimmer with your boyfriend's chambray shirt (untucked with the sleeves rolled) and a wedge sandal (they're back and better than ever).
The second section features the {questionable} choices of the Painter Scout Chino & Matchstick Pants. They share the following tidbits:
The Painter Scout Chino. A stroke of genius, splattered and distressed by hand, then washed for over 300 minutes. It's this season masterpiece. Jenna Says. Try pairing this distressed scout chino with a delicate sequin top- works for day or night. P.S. We love our classic scout chino too.

The Matchstick. Our much-loved matchstick, now in a repaired indigo wash. Looks and feels like a well-worn vintage pair, without the time investment. Jenna Says. Style this destroyed jean with more polished pieces for an unexpected high-low mix.

Overall, I like the concept of the marketing piece. I think it is great to offer some styling suggestions. I just question some of the choices (like the destroyed jeans), and the high-low pairings (of painted chinos with a delicate sequin top).

Did you receive this mailer insert in your recent order? Do you agree or disagree with the advice offered? Do you agree or disagree with the "pant picks" that Jenna selected?
