Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. My store is open (Louisville, KY)! The hours are limited, but it was very clean and felt safe. They took my returns out of the bags at the door and allowed me to shop while they processed them. Full price was 50% off (odd since website is mostly 60% and they stock way less than what the website can offer). Sale was 70% off and they’ll have a hard time clearing it out in my opinion. Lots of Christmas plaids and velvet were out along with jeans and turtlenecks. I’m an out of season shopper sometimes but it still didn’t appeal to me. They did have a few silk leopard pants (pull on style) and some sleepy lion tops in the blue/gold color on clearance. They’ll ship if anyone wants to call and see if they have their size. All in all I’m glad they’re reopened and doing it safely. It was my first in person retail experience since the beginning of March - hooray!

    1. did they have plexiglas barriers at the register and hand sanitizer stations?

    2. Eeps, no plexiglass at checkout. All employees had medical masks and I said that J.Crew should’ve made them all masks. The employee said they’d be getting them next week. Sanitizer was at the register and they cleaned the counter and credit card station between each guest (even if it wasn’t touched). I’m a cancer survivor and felt safe.

    3. Out of curiosity, I just ordered a set of their masks. Will be interested to see if they ship, considering employees don't even have them. They look cute.

    5. Not sure if any of you heard, JCrew filed bankruptcy and will be closing a few low preforming stores as well as Madewell stores.

    6. My nearest J. Crew and Madewell are open. I went to both and they both looked good. J. Crew was having people wait outside until someone left, to have fewer people in the store. No plexiglass, and you have to sign for purchase with the penpad pen. I've been a few other places that required that and I'm not a fan, but I guess that's a harder thing to change, and both stores have the option for online orders and curbside pickup so there are ways around it. The sales associates were super nice and helpful. Madewell was pretty crowded, even though when I left people were waiting outside for their turn to come in. Everyone wore a mask in both stores. It was nice to see them both open.

    7. Interesting to hear about the reopened stores. I read over the weekend that nearly all stores except the ones in the NYC area have reopened or will be reopening this week. I think NYC's Phase is being pushed back from June 22 to early July due to the city's inability to socially distance/wear masks the moment the weather is nice enough to be outside. I'm afraid those few bad neighborhoods will doom the rest of the city to stay closed the rest of the summer.
@Zach and Mere / @cate, may I ask what states your stores are in?

  3. I had received the cotton crepe cardigan sweater in Prussian blue (AK190) and was pleased with it for $30. They are now on promo for $25. It is much different from the Jackie, and it is 100% cotton. It's not necessarily soft, but that doesn't bother me. I am 5'3" 105 lbs. 34B, and I ordered both XS and S but am keeping the small. That gives me room to wear a tee under it. My Jackies are all size small, but they fit tighter, and I don't layer those. I think $25 is a very good buy.
