"Looking to VENT" with J.Crew

This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including poor experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. I am still waiting on one more item from JCrew. Now I know this isn't JCrew's fault at this point but it's beyond ridiculous. Shipped may 23. Didn't move at all until June 2 and now it's sitting in my local post office since June 5. Grrrrr.

    1. Miss JR. Similar situation here. Mine shipped on May 23 also, and it has been on quite a trip. Now it is supposed to be here Friday, but who knows. My experience has been great when something is shipped ONLY by UPS, but when the post office gets involved (Mail Innovations?) things go haywire.

    2. Many packages jcrew sent shipping email on 23rd were just processed by mail innovation on June 8th, monday (tracking says jcrew dropped off these packages to mail innovation on June 4th). The order for which I received shipping email on 26th still hasn't been processed by mail innovation. I am wondering who caused the delay, jcrew or mail inovation.

    4. I have an order from the Gap in Canada that says it shipped ups on June 2. Today it still says ready for pickup by ups so I don’t know what the hold up is in it even leaving.

    5. UPS in Canada has been very screwed up. We had a package get to our city in one day, and then sit at the local depot with no updates for ~10 days, no updates, no way to pick up locally ourselves.

    6. it really makes no sense because i've had other stuff ship later and come thru the post office much faster... like i literally just had an item delivered from NC (i'm in NJ) and it shipped monday.

    7. Our local post office was slow at receiving mail innovation packages since last thursday. I have one package departed MI last thursday and one departed on Monday. Both arrived at post office yesterday and are out for delivery today.

  2. Yesterday I received three notices saying, "We wish we had enough...." One of the orders was from May 21, and the other two were May 25 and 27. Okay, I'll admit that I am not desperate for those items, but still.

  3. My May 20 order shipped May 21 and since then, the tracking has read, "Shipment information received by UPS Mail Innovations." I received the package yesterday (June 9) and the tracking still hasn't updated.

  4. My May 21 order (1 item) shipped on May 23, and I still haven't received it. The tracking now says that on June 8, "An incorrect sort routed the package to the wrong post office." That's the first time I've seen something like that in a tracking history. Wondering if I will ever receive it. Since it shipped, I have been charged for it.

    1. That happened to me a couple of times before. Packages will be rerouted and delivered within postal system. How long it would take mostly depends on how quickly a post office sends a missent package to sorting facility.
