Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Good reading for a Monday: article over at YouLookFab from 9/13 listing the womens’ retailers and brands that Angie has found to have the most consistent quality over time for her clients. Lots of interesting comments, too. Her definition of quality is not just initial out of the box, do the seams look straight, but rather, how well does the garment fabric and construction last and look good through multiple wears and laundering cycles. No surprise Boden makes the list, so does Madewell! J Crew does not, though Angie specifically notes something that JCAs all know - J Crew coats and jackets from 10 years ago were almost-couture quality and still look beautiful.

  2. when I search website by the word 'preorder' I can see new pull-on easy pant in printed silk twill, J5689. The pants are only in petite sizing but the print is so lovely.I'm wondering what else is coming in that print. Perhaps a blouse or a dress or a tank top?

    1. There’s a button down top posted on kristymayn’s IG, and I saw a wrap jacket, similar to the island floral one from spring, @ Nordstrom. I ordered the pants last night when 30% was still stacking.

    2. It comes in a button down. I bought it but returned over the weekend because I did not like the fit. The print is beautiful and I’m really glad they made other items with it.

    3. It also comes in leather goods - the medium pouch and card case. It’s a lovely print.

  3. No store visit for me, but I did place an order last week for a few skirts (color block, red double pleat and leopard pencil) as well as the navy polka dot top and the olive tie waist pants.

As noted in another post, looks like the Skimm extra 20% is expired but I did see cardperks is stacking with the suiting 25% off for an extra 15% off if you use your Crew card. At this point I'm looking forward to next week's rollout, the lack of interesting stock in the sale section has tempered my daily checking.

    1. I will be curious to hear about the olive tie waist pants since I have my eye on them. I just wish they came in a tall size.

    2. pbanos, I tried them on a few weeks ago at the store - you can see them on my blog here

Length was ok, could be a smidge longer, I'll have to see if there's hem to take down. Deciding if I'll wear them enough this fall but thinking with tights/booties it'll make up for the length. HTH.

    1. I've had issues all over the board.

A sweater listed as TTS ran big and I sized down.

A top listed as running small was TTS for me.

A dress listed as TTS ran small for me.
