If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including poor experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

    1. Yes. He doesn't get it at all! I would love to have him sit in a room for an hour with JCAs. Maybe we could make him understand! (?)

    2. reposting deleted comment - first version was mangled by autocorrect
      a moan, a groan, a sigh, a vent
shopping JC is like watching a train wreck
comments and suggestions don’t make a dent
if you can’t do quality fashion at least hire a competent tech!

and btw has anyone else noticed the increasingly glaring disconnect between Dear Leader’s comments of late and the reality of what he “accomplished” at J.Crew?

    3. Mickey’s story = fake news. I wonder if he is trying to reframe the narrative and distance himself, knowing what the debt terms and poor sales will likely do to the company in 2018.

    4. This article is from the summer, but I thought it was an interesting (and quick) look at JC over the last 14 years.

  2. Why can't they offer a percent off sale online? Stores have a % off sale. I might actually buy something if sale was included in these promos.

  3. Why can't all women's pants come with belt loops? I can't think of a single pair of my husbands pants that do not have them. I understand on some cuts it is more flattering but so many of my Crew pants do not have any. It is so hard to find pants that fit and a belt can often help.

  4. I would be wary if ordering off J Crew website....I keep having random items in my cart and today I took them all out and put in another item I actually wanted then I wanted to see something about shipping so I went to check out and under registered user was some stranger's email address. It wasn't logged in with her password but her email address was there and I don't know who that is..This says a lot about J crew security when ordering online...I would think twice...

  5. 40% off full price items online...over. no % off sale. who is running this show!

  6. Wait, did it change? When I checked before I left the house it was 30% and free RUSH shipping or 30 + 15% off for regular shipping. 😂 who comes up with this? I don't know which way works out better but it's seems kind of a wacky way to do a promo. Especially when it was just 40% off.

    1. this is the Canadian site....so I guess it is a lump of coal in Canadian J Crew shoppers stocking this year.

    2. Why no promo on Canadian page??? what the heck, thanks for nothing J Crew

    3. as a Canadian...I think its time for a JCrew boycott over inconsistencies between US and Can.

    4. Not on sale, only full price, which is even more stupid.

    5. pacific centre store 40% off full price items and 4o% off sale...go figure. If I were to have no store near me...relying on online purchasing...I ask CS to apply the discount...

  7. I emailed requesting a PA on the leopard print vest. I usually call, but honestly, I was thinking the SAs must be so busy and it was not time sensitive like placing a Christmas order. They could get to it whenever. In my email I made sure to write that I saw the vest the at Short Hills with the add'l 40% off but they did not have my size.

I received an email back that I must have misunderstood, the 40% off was only on full price merchandise, but I got an even better deal as the vest was 68% off the original price and wasn't that great?!? She further wrote that she had contacted my store to confirm that the price was indeed $50.99 with no further discounts and they were able to confirm that for her. (the SAs in Short Hills know their stuff and are amazing so I wasn't buying that)

I called my store and they happily confirmed it was still an add'l 40% off. I next called the 800 number, told them what happened, they called the store, learned the sale promotion applied, and kindly issued the PA. I am very happy to have received the PA; my partner has told me the vest looks like a dead animal so I did not want to put a lot of money into it. And the SA I spoke with was simply wonderful.

What bothers me is the lie that they ever called in the first place. Rant over.

    1. OMG. I saw the vest there and was tempted, but like you wouldn't want to spend a lot on it. (I've sold several faux fur vests over the years.) what was the bottom line price?

    2. Right?!?
$35.59 total. Please, and thank you.

    3. I picked the same item up at my B&M under the same circumstances. I have another (solid) color faux fur vest from J. Crew’s past and wear it enough to warrant the $30. I wish they made one in Crewcuts so my daughter could match. I’m disappointed about all the hoops one has to jump through to get price adjustments anymore. If the stores and the website were consistent and reliable there wouldn’t be this issue!

  8. I emailed my stylist 5 days ago about the petite vintage straight jeans that were actually toothpicks. I have yet to hear back. I understand they’re busy but even a simple acknowledgment of the email would have sufficed. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    1. Sorry to hear this but I have not had any problem whatsoever which my VPS. If this is of help contact Tiffany @ ext. 63365. She works out of the San Antonio call center. Product knowledge is superb. I call her supergirl, she is fabulous; overnights everything to me, locates items when you think all is lost, responds immediately, price adjustments no problem at all, and will throw in discounts when expired. Shhhhh!

    2. Thank you, Lynn! That is so kind of you to share your VPS info! I really appreciate it :) I may reach out to her. I usually don’t have a problem, but was just disappointed about this whole experience.

    3. You are most welcome. I love her to pieces and so very grateful for everything she has ever done for me. This is why I call her Supergirl; fabulous personality as well. All the best and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.

    4. Tiffany is also my VPS! She's great. Located a lot of stuff for me that I thought were lost causes.

  9. Does anyone have those pull on tooth pick jeans? I am going tonight and I think I will buy them in black. I might also get the bows t shirt.

    1. I tried the ones from Madewell in black and hated them. I love my black toothpicks though, so go figure, I just thought the no fly and fake pockets looked weird.

    2. The no fly isn't ideal but the stretch waist will work if you gain some weight or weigh too much like me right now. I did get the old version 8 inch tooth pick the other day but these are more comfy and I was told they are not a new staple so will get with the 40 off.

    3. I figure it is good to have both. I don't really need any more denim color right now so set on that

    4. @RN I hope they work out for you. Please report back. I know a few other JCAs liked the Madewell ones.

    5. Got them last night and they are great fitting, only thing is I see a faint lighetning of the denim around the seam. Might be the material but going tonight to another store to check out their pairs but will certainly keep mine or exchange for one of theirs. This item is a winner overall

  10. Vent: one day items are included in the promo, next day they are not. No rhyme or reason. Have my eye on the feather necklace, double coin necklace, and rose t shirt but won’t buy anything full price. C’mon j crew!

    1. The included/excluded thing is indeed annoying. I think J.Crew is way overestimating how much time people want to spend shopping, and that if they know it cost less the other day, they would rather pass on the item than pay 40 percent more for it. Many people are moving toward buying fewer tangible goods, spending less on clothing overall, and spending less time shopping. Their jerky pricing policies aren't going to help their sales. People want to pay a fair price/get a good deal on their own schedules. I saw a sweater excluded, then included, and when I went to buy it (as a gift) it was back to excluded. My reaction? Buying a sweater somewhere else today. Done.

    3. Same thing happened to me on the striped faux fur scarf. Canceled twice on two different days. I ordered it I third time and now it is available for pick up. Crazy!

    4. I've had two items cancelled since Thanksgiving, out of 4 items total. One sweater eventually popped back but I passed on reordering at a higher price. They just cancelled my cashmere hat, so I'm a bit disappointed. Between cancellations, super slow shipping, lack of interesting products, no % off sale, J crew has been a bust. I'm ready to throw in the towel.

  15. Has anyone seen the new rollout? I never understood JCrew’s reliance on bi-monthy introductions of new items. I get bored between such long rollouts and if they introduced new items with more frequency I would certainly be drawn to visiting more often and likely buy things I wasn’t even looking for.
