  1. I can't be the only one wanting to buy the tie-front silk top. I actually already got it in the champagne and black version but with all this talk of pussybow tops, I think it could be fun to wear J.Crew's less exaggerated version in pink or red. Only the red is available online right now and it's in my online shopping bag. .

  2. I bought the pink blouse one and returned it. It seems to have sold out fairly quickly. For me the strings for the bow were not thick enough to create a the bow I wanted.
I bought and kept the peacock blue Harlow cardigan and now it's on clearance but the pink and green are no where to be found.

    1. I know what you mean about the width of the ties, but I think for me the wider bow might be too much the champagne with black is probably all that I need in that look.

  3. 30% off chateau parka in stores! And as an added bonus, I could use my 15% off teacher discount!! I am glad I just happened to go in for some returns because I was very tempted to purchase the factory parka.

    1. Congrats Meggs! Can you (or anyone else) tell me which colours they are carrying in-store this year for the Chateau parka? I am considering adding the sandstone (or maybe the heather gray) to my collection, but I would rather see in person than order on-line. TIA!

    2. I recently got the heather dusk color chateau parka - love it! The color is great - I would describe it as a lighter gray with a nice depth. Based on JCA recommendations I ordered one size down from my typical blazer size and it worked. I was hesitant to size down in a coat but the A-line shape is very forgiving.

    4. Thanks Luxette, your parka sounds lovely ! Do you know if the heather gray is the same light gray as seasons past? It was very pretty as well, and I'm just not sure if there is a difference.

    8. @Ina, lol, no worries -- that saves me having to consider getting a lavender chateau. I wouldn't need it, but lavender is so pretty! Thank you!

    9. Good morning, ladies!

I have tried both the Chateau Parka and the Cocoon Coat in the heather dusk gray color and it is a light gray. It's pretty but I do miss the darker heathered graphite gray they used on the Stadium Cloth Elements Coat about 4-5 years ago. It had more depth and was very flattering.

    11. Thanks for weighing in, Nic! I agree that the grey is very pretty, but it might be a bit light for me to pull off with my skin tone! I think I will have to try it on in person.

  5. The excursion vest in Irish moss and heathered tigerlilly (orange) net $66 after YESPLEASE. It's interesting to note the vest in bleached sand is $120 on jcrew.com but $98 on Nordstrom.com.

    1. I could be mistaken but I think they have been $98 or $100 in the past typically. I have two and bought one for my daughter as well.

    2. Meaning $120 is definitely not a freak out price!

  6. Considering the damage I did this past month I really need to tie my hands behind my back or unplug my mouse. But we all know that's not happening.

Originally there was nothing I wanted in either the sale rack or the new items that qualified for the discount. But after trying really hard to find something I did.

A replacement shirt. My old one was a little too loose and long in the tooth. Found a new slim cut mini gingham in blue, not navy. I know it's part of the J.Crew ubiquitous 'that shirt' fame, but it really works well for me. And hey who doesn't love a deal.
