ReplyDeleteLooks like the free shipping is for US customers only, we CDNs not only get less of a discount on everything today (only 30% off sale, including FS items), we also don't get free shipping. I don't remember being excluded from deals as much as we have been lately.

DeleteSo I did make it to the clearance store on Saturday morning. It seemed very picked over and a lot of the same old stuff but I did find the ruffle front chiffon top in polka dot for $18.00 (Which I had tried to track down earlier in the week at a store with no luck)so I was super happy about that. I also got the end on end ruffle top in french blue, the gemma flats in warm sepia ( I have them on order but will return as soon as they come) Got a much better price at the clearance store. I really like these shoes, TTS and I think the color is really good especially with the pink trim. I also got a pair of earrings, f6454, that have great colors in them. I didn't make it to the farmer's market or the restaurant as I got stuck in traffic going over but I did visit the regular retail store at Biltmore village. Same old tired stuff, ready for something new.

ReplyDeleteYes. I just received it. It's bigger than in looks online...chunkier...but I really liked it. Got a price adjustment that brought the price down further.

I wish they'd show the necklaces on models, because as you say, it's sometimes hard to judge the scale online if there's no point of reference. I don't think I'll go for it at this price point, but will keep stalking to see if I get lucky.

DeleteI love yellow in general and j.crew always disappoints me by showing me gorgeous lemon yellow items online that show up neon in the package. This one was actually yellow. I am looking forward to pairing it with a yellow v-neck and a either an orange or dark green bottom.
DeleteI bought the Stadium Cloth cocoon coat in heather french purple. It was 30% off in a special promotion. Love love love the color...excited for the weather to get colder now!
ReplyDeleteAlso tried on the new arrival pink faux fur coat. Unfortunately it was mega unflattering on me (5'7", size 6/8). It added about 200 pounds to my frame!
I finally had the chance to try the Drake's capsule pajama style shirts, but found them to be unflattering as well, and the fabric blend felt like polyester even though it was silk. Equipment will remain my go-to brand for any kind of silk shirt.

DeleteI bought the cocoon coat in heather french purple as well and love it. I know others think it's more of a spring pastel, but I love purple in autumn and this shade is just lovely.

DeleteCass....not sure about the pink faux fur coat! It was front and center at the Columbus Circle store in NYC. I also noticed it wasn't online.
I went and it was boring...Waiting for the cherry stuff to go on clearance. I did try the striped long sleeve t with the lace down the front. Fit ok but sleeves were very tight, Anyone else notice this? I did not buy for that reason.

Despite being shut out of today's free shipping and 40% offer as a CDN, I decided to send some items to the US as I'll be visiting in a few weeks. I noticed that they removed FS from a lot of the sale swim items, so decided to give some a try. I'd been curious about some of the gingham pieces all summer, but they went to FS before I could order. Now with FS removed, I can safely try them out and hopefully find something that fits. Too bad I'll have to wait for another few weeks to try them, but I'm glad to at least have the chance.
ReplyDeleteI blacked out and purchased a bunch of things this weekend (online). 3 striped shirts, the ruffle top in shirting stripes (this one is bound to be a fail, but I figured I'd try anyway), a pair of pop back gold sloans, the ceces and gemmas in sepia, the margot top (have not tried yet), and the cap sleeve dress in shirting on popback, but in my usual size and reviews say to size down. I haven't ordered since July, so we shall see... -lep33shops
