  1. I had a great Customer Service experience last week and honestly, JC Customer Service including my VPS rarely disappoint. In a moment of weakness I purchased the Slim Cargo Pant on FS without reading the reviews of the ridiculously high rise or trying them on. (I know ... don't judge). I explained and had no trouble at all w the return.

    1. J Crew ruined a great pant this year - the slim cargo pants were a favorite of mine and I bought them every year. Was very happy to see navy slim cargo pants this year. Ordered and tried on; could not believe the rise on these things and the excess fabric around the crotch area. The noise when I walked was laughable. Epic fail - returned!

  2. Just purchased the drawstring linen short in Aztec rust, iced quartz & vibrant mist. Fit is tts; I have an athletic build & don't like tight shorts. Medium fit well & the length is nice. $17 with my educator discount, so a steal. The quality is appropriate for the price point & the shorts look & feel like my Vince shorts that cost significantly more. Will work great for my vacation in Greece.

  3. Placed an order during the free-ship promo on Monday, got the shipping notice that same day, and my mail carrier should deliver the package this afternoon. That's perfectly reasonable transit time from VA to WI. Appreciate the return to prompter delivery of online orders and hope it continues.

    1. I second that! Not sure what happened over the past few weeks but my orders with the free slower shipping method were processed and mailed the following day this week. I am a happy camper.

    2. Agree, I placed an order on Monday and got it overnighted to NYC - delivered yesterday at 4pm! Another order placed Monday late at night is coming tomorrow (could have been today if not transferred to the post office = one extra day)

  4. I placed an overnight order earlier this week hours after the day's deadline time, yet I still received the order the very next day. Such a pleasant surprise!! Thanks to J.Crew and UPS. =)

  5. Lately, I find the stores' associates to be more approachable/low key, that pomposity displayed in your face for years (in most NYC stores) is almost gone.

    1. Agree! The associates especially at the Madison Avenue & Rockefeller stores (never been to the UES store) were quite pompous indeed. Haven't been to the stores in a while. But the associates at the SoHo and Time Warner Center stores were always more down-to-earth.

  6. Ordered the super120s pleated dress on Monday, and it's here today. It is perfection. What made the $158 bearable is that J.Crew did two price adjustments for me on Monday. Two items I bought earlier were still in stock in my size and at a lower price, so they just adjusted the price for me, and I didn't have to return and rebuy. For the most part, J.Crew hasn't had anything that interested me in quite some time - but they really nailed this dress. It's a tad long (I'm 5-2) - so I may get it shortened. Wool feels a bit plasticky but it's not itchy. Doesn't really feel like wool at all but they say it is wool, so I'll take them at their word. Knife pleats are well done. I'm really happy with this purchase. Too bad I couldn't use my birthday coupon on it!
