    1. Pretty sure that's what the 60% off is intended to do.

Nothing for me, though. I haven't been excited by anything lately.

  4. I saw an article that they are moving the warehouse sale to a different location in Lynchburg this coming weekend. I think it is bigger and has more parking. They probably have so much stuff to get rid of they need more room. :) Take all the old stuff off the website, put it in a cardboard box and let people dig it out and take it home.

  5. Also, adding an extra day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for this one. Might be worth checking out for anyone that is in that area.

  6. Nothing for me, plus I hate when they take items off sale and put them back to full price. Looking at the Jackie Cardigan in Seashore which was on sale before. Not a way to make a sale with customers!!!

    1. Absolutely right. Last Friday, right after that website problems, Cyprus in brown and black were marked down to 60.50. I thought that instead of ordering online, even with free ship, it would be easier (and cheaper to JCrew!) for me to go down to a local store and pick it up as they always give the lowest price (online vs store). Low and behold, comes Saturday, they are back to full price! No Bueno JCrew. Your customers are better than that. I guess they put it on sale for a while to appease angry folks....Well, I am not happy.

  7. New stuff might be marked down tomorrow morning, which is what J.Crew has done before, I've noticed. It might be worth checking the sale section in the AM.

  8. Went to do a return. The only "amazing sale surprise" I saw was the same old markdown section, completely filled with things marked $54.99, $69.99, $89.99 and an extra 40% off. That is not an amazing surprise; it's just sad. Really don't know what they are going to do with all that stuff. :(

  9. I returned a few things to my store and all they had was mark down in sale....which is the same stuff that's been there for months. I did get the July catalog though! I'm liking TOO much this summer from the Crew. Although I still have a big *itch that all the cute skirts, shorts and dresses are TOO short. I know....broken record here. I did order something from the store because the web site is not working so well today. I'm actual have hope for the fall styles and can't wait to see them.

    1. Lucky you have a copy of the July style guide. :-)

I can't wait to see fall merchandise roll-out end of July, too!

    2. I'm with you, Stray Cat, on the TOO short problem! I wish I could wear all those cute pieces, but I'm just not that comfortable showing that much leg. I'm hoping for some longer, but still cute, options for fall.

    3. The July style guide is very thin. It's got a "Do" and "Don't" theme going on. New print "Geo Brushstroke) is very vibrant and kind of geometric. There is the Polynesian Floral print that Ina mentioned (love!). We've seen some of the things in this catalog already, but some are new too. There is a Perfect Shirt in Dash Dot Ikat (like!). Hardly anything for men or kids in this catalog.

    4. I think the July issue is always small. They are ramping up for early fall. I've order quite a lot from the last two roll outs after quite a long dry spell. But I love summer clothes, so this is typical for me. I want to see the Polynesian prints in person and I'll probably pick up some more accessories. I can't figure out why the Geo Brushstroke top is an online exclusive but the skirt isn't and in the catalog they show them paired together. That doesn't seem very customer friendly to me.

  11. So is it 40% off sale or 30% off sale? I can't believe they advertise 40% and then when you click through the fine print it's 30%. That's a really cheesy move. (I guess they mean it's 40% when you factor in the extra 30% off but still.)

  13. I seem to be in the minority here, but I've found a lot to love in the sale. I scored a 4" chino, a Broken In Boyfriend cutoff, and the Faded Adire Short all for like $95. The cutoffs were still more expensive than I would have liked, but they were perfect and I'll live in them on weekends.

Hoping the Broken In Boyfriend jeans in Destroyed Harbor Wash show up again in sale...I love mine so much I want another pair.

  15. I did just stop in at J Crew store since I had a few minutes to spare. Actually made a purchase, the Beach Sweater in Navy for $37. Our high tomorrow is supposed to be 64 and it has been so rainy. I actually liked the fit and style of the sweater. The sale section was packed to the gills and this is a small store all 50% off including new arrivals for June. At this point by the weekend it will be 50% off and a BOGO just to move this stuff.
