  1. Tempting, but no thanks. I just purged several JC tees from the past year due to quality issues, and I haven't noticed much improvement in this summer's offerings. So happy I stocked up on the vintage cotton ballet tee (forget exactly what it was called) 4-5 years ago. I don't baby them at all, and they're still in good shape.

    1. I'm with you on buying any more tees from jcrew! I still buy plenty of things there but I'm done with their t-shirts. I've had several, that I just purchased recently, get multiple holes in them. When I emailed CS about it they said I should send the shirts back to them so they can "inspect the tops to figure out how we can avoid holes from developing on them moving forward". Hmmm...maybe stop making them with such crappy, thin material! Just saying!

    2. Are you having trouble with the 'perfect' t-shirts? Those have been fine for me, no holes.

    3. I second the Perfect-fit tees. Nice weight cotton. No problem with holes. Lots of pretty colors.

    4. I have good luck with the perfect tees, too. I wear them as pj tops in all but the hottest months, and they wash & wear like iron.

    5. I wish JCrew would make them with the ballet neckline again. It's my favorite.

    6. I have some perfect tees (mostly fall/winter styles) and those are nice and have held up well! It's just basically every other tee that make that doesn't ;)

    7. I also really like the perfect fit tees. Anyone else have an issue with the current sizing of these tees? I usually wear size small, but the small perfect fit crew necks I received recently are absolutely tiny, more like an XXS.

    8. I like the perfect fit tees..I size up for fit. I find the ones from a few years back were better quality, kind of thicker cotton than now, Love the new colors...but i only buy on sale as I like them for sleeping in.

    9. I buy the thin vintage tees and machine wash and dry them and I don't think I've ever had a hole in one. I try to wash them only with other soft things, not with anything that has a zipper, and usually not with denim. I wonder if that makes a difference? I won't be buying any more, though, because I have more than enough already.

    10. I own several Perfect Fit tees, tanks, and mixed-tape cardigans. I'm a go-to Small, but size up to a Medium in all of these. They are described as "slim fit", which usually prompts me to try a couple sizes to get the right one.

    11. I wear the perfect fits for sleeping also! They're great. It's so hard to find all cotton tees anymore. Definitely size up, though.

  2. not even tempting for me....as all those nice prints, fabric (linen drawstring) are short for me. No 3 inch shorts passed 40 (at least in my case)

  3. I'm thinking of ordering a couple of pairs of the Harbor Shorts. With the extra 10% off it's like getting free shipping on one pair, even better with two pairs. Any one try these? How is the sizing? The 7" length looks promising.

    1. The length was good, but I found the hip and leg too skinny for my pear shape. They are a lower rise and the waist seemed TTS. Probably better for a straighter figure.

  4. OT but looks like there were some ramifications to last week's bad IG decisions: http://www.refinery29.com/2015/06/89546/alejandro-rhett-jcrew-fired?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=post

  5. For me this promotion comes a little late, especially for buying shorts for my daughters. For the first time in several years, I purchased only one pair of J Crew shorts for my kids this season - I purchased 11 pairs from Old Navy, including an order that just arrived yesterday. The shorts styles and prices at ON really worked for us this year. I just looked at the JC girls shorts to see if I could be tempted by the promotion, but 40% off $50 shorts is still $30, which is pretty high IMO for regular chino shorts - nicer shorts at ON were $12 or less.

    1. agreed prices still too high for just a pair of shorts. I prefer gap shorts to J Crews anyway.
