Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available in the FALL & WINTER sale, or to see some new HOLIDAY arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. I'm awake! :-)

25% off discount applies to purchases of $150 or more; 30% off discount applies to purchases of $250 or more before shipping, handling and taxes are added. Discount taken at checkout with promo code SNOWMAN.

  2. Darn, the lexi tote in misty lavender I wanted is sold out.

  3. I'm glad I held out for a code after the sale update this morning. 30% off a $250+ purchase was enough of an incentive for me to buy even though I had to pay shipping. Picked up several silk camis, re-bought shoes that are now $20 cheaper, and got some embellished tees for less than $15 each.

  4. Cass, totally agree with you! I re-bought some of the items as they're like at least $20 less for a couple of them! I hate it when I bought the item @ sale price then the next day J.Crew reduces the price by another $20! It's such a hassle but it's worth the money!

  5. Sale update! Not sure if the current number is correct (509) or the 'yet to be included on the final number' items are just popping up.

I rebought a few items I already have that are now at a lower price - got a brulee tank and a viscose tango tank I had been stalking along w/ a few other items I wanted to try.

  6. I thought they would have to do another promo; only two weeks to Christmas, people are starting to weigh the benefit of waiting for post holiday sales. Still...the shipping costs...hmmm.

  7. Wow - love the promos! Keep them coming.

  8. Yes, new promo SNOWMAN available, and rebought some items to take advantage of the discount. I will probably be going in to my B&M this weekend to do some returns ;)

  9. Anyone noticing that the site is slow?

  10. I hate it when I have to reorder and have to make a bunch of returns...but I saved well enough to cover the shipping and I since I'm not the only one doing it I don't feel as bad.

  11. Went to Brea, CA to make some returns and picked up umbrellas for $14.99, toothpick black denim for $39.99, metallic aran scarf for $29.99 and v-neck donegal sweaters for $39.99.
They had a ton of mark downs: Merino rose corsage cardigans for $59.99, Strada ruffle cardi $69.99 (I think), one tuxedo cardigan (Small) for same price but it runs big IMO, also ruffles and roses tissue tank for $29.99. There were more but I can't recall them all. HTH!

  12. I'm awake too-- but won't be going to the store this weekend or using the SNOWMAN offer. I caved and bought the duffle coat in camel during the 30% outerwear promotion because they were all gone from the store (5th Ave, NYC) and my size/wanted colors started to disappear online. Weighed my desire for the duffle vs. the post-holiday J. Crew sales... Even if there's a return-to-the-warehouse shuffle of the store coats or a weird situation with internet stock, I'd rather have my coat now!

PS - Since the coat is on promotion, I was told in store that I could use my student discount on top of that. I'd suggest the ppl who bought in the 30% promotion try to e-mail CS.

Congrats to everyone who benefitted from the newest promotion!

  13. If you by something online and it goes on sale, or deeper sale, within 7 days, you just have to call the 800 number and they will adjust it, just like in store. So then you don't have to fuss with returns, unless it's after 7 days.

  14. JC no longer does price adjustments for sale items if they are marked down further. They do it for FP items only within that time frame.

  15. Glad to know I am not the only one up late:) Caved and bought the dutchess bracelet & necklace and a few crewcuts items. Now they need to mark down some of the full priced Crewcuts sweaters and coats. Love the promo-thanks J Crew!

  17. Audrey! Thanks for the tip about using the student discount on top of the coat promo! :)My duffel coat is due to arrive today, I can't wait!

OT: Has anyone who was on the waiting list for the tweed collier jacket received theirs yet? I know the estimated date was 12/28, just wondering if anyone got theirs recently. TIA!

  18. If anyone sees the Wool Ravine Ribbon dress in the rosebud color size 2, please let me know. I have the black & love it. Thanks!!

  19. FYI: Educator's and Student discount are not allowed on promo items online. Stores do it but not online.

  20. Second what Genny said. That has been my experience too as of the past few months.

    ReplyDelete
  21. jcmama,
Thanks for the post esp. the merino corsage cardigans markdown. I have been wanting one but no store close but that means online should go down to that price eventually.

  22. Hi everyone,

I thought I couldn't combine the 30% off promotion with the 15% student discount online but the cs rep explained that I could. Their policy basically is that you can only use one coupon code on an order. The key is since the coats were selling at a promotional price you could also use your student discount as your one coupon code. This would not apply if you used the free shipping code that was available at the same time the 30% off was running.

I've been able to use my student discount on multiple orders as long as the item was at a promotional price.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Tres Tippy, Genny, Summer, Michelle - Thanks for the clarification on the 15%! A few sales reps told me that I could get the FS and the discount; I'll wish for the CS's "one time courtesy" spiel instead of some kind of company consistency. :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. My online PS stated and just as it does on their website. Educator's discount and student discount only good on full priced items. This does NOT include promo items.

If you get both discounts good for you as you are dealing with a CS rep or PS who decides to ignore the rules or does not know them. It is what it is....

  25. Does anyone know if the strata shirt is on sale? I know the cardigan is, but was wondering if the shirt is too. TIA

    ReplyDelete
  26. Kalimarie, you can try to call the Collection store in NYC. I bought mine last week when the price dropped and they definitively had a 2. Because it's a small store they tend to put away (in the back) the merch on sale to make room for the new merchandise, so maybe nobody has bought it yet! HTH

  27. I just wanted to add that I went to the NYC 5th Avenue store yesterday morning and they many mohair souffle cardis in heather grey, collier, silk posy (black and deep rose) and evie tops (solid and leopard), and believe it or not tons of the front-ribbon top (the first one, not the beaded one) in the midnight (navy) color.

    ReplyDelete
  28. jcma, the Strada shirt was not marked down at my B&M, but the black and white floral one (I can't remember the name, but it came out at the same time the Strada did) was.

    ReplyDelete
  29. if anyone is interested the Crewlet has solid jackie's for 19.99.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I've always been told the educator discount is not valid with sale items. At least this is how it works in all the NYC stores.

Has anybody in NYC seen the thigh high socks at any store? I'm desperately looking for another pair but I can't find them anywhere. Thank you.

  31. Reporting from San Francisco Center (Westfield Mall)...doing my best to recall what I sound around 1p today (Fri)

    * navy/wht check shirts - a whole stack of them, I promise. They are tucked in a corner near the sale section near fitting room, on a low shelf.

    * corsage t-shirt cardis - black only, about 5 of them from S-L or XL

    * Evie silk ruffle camis - black, ivory, and a coule in the

    * pink dapple dot cardis - $59.99, I think, the other patterned one was there also

    * stack of the reindeer tees - ivory, no caramel

    * ruffles and roses tissue tank - On sale. I didn't check the price, to be honest.

    * tiered vintage fleur top - don't recall the sale price, but there was a size run of them

  32. Good morning JCAs! The following are some notes at some stores I visited...

    South Windsor, CT store:
-they had the Wool herringbone professor blazer (item 17375) in Carbon for $99.99 in several sizes. What is weird is the website doesn't even have it on sale (still regular $198.00).
-the Satin makeup case in all colors are now $6.99 in stores (online it is $14.99)

    Farmington, CT store:
-they had the Pippa mirror ballet flats in Metallic Silver selling for $79.99 (online, it is the regular price of $135.00 still, while the other shades are on sale)

    Happy shopping! :)

  33. I went this morning. Lots more colors of cords are marked down, but I need to finish my Christmas shopping and get paid again before I add to my wardrobe. I did get a necklace - all of their "loose" jewelry (not in the case) is $10 off, plus I was able to use my teacher discount as well. Too good to pass up. I also noticed that some of the promo prices online are not in the store (at least on Crewcuts items). I didn't ask if they would match since they're offering free shipping on Crewcuts. Less of a hassle.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I forgot to mention that the frances tuxedo shirt was 39.99 this morning.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh...and 25% off scarves in-store

    ReplyDelete
  36. Wool harbor peacoat in the antique stone color is marked down to $99.99 in stores.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Math Teacher - Did you get one of those stretchy dangling bracelets? They were about $19.50 plus educator discount.

Those were great bracelets!! I got two.

    ReplyDelete
  38. DinDin - I already had one, so I passed, but it was hard. I love those stretchy bracelets!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Has anyone seen the Ethereal Ruffle cardigan (sale version) in their store? I would like to find the rust color in particular.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Looking for the Cashmere/Silk Scarf in Sea Spray. It's on sale for $49.50 online but that color is sold out. Thanks!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. The store in San Antonio-La Cantera had the Black overdyed toothpick ankle jeans for $39.99 in 26, 27, 28, 30 and 31. I was happy I found a pair because they're currently online for $100! They also had their toothpick ankle cords on sale but they were out of my size in grey, black and aubergine. Most of the sizes were 00, 0 and 2. They were marked to $29.99.

Those were the only real noteworthy sales. Everything else that was on sale will most likely go down even lower as we get close to Christmas.
