The J.Crew in Los Angeles, California is teaming up with the PennClubLA and WhartonSoCal associations for a fabulous shopping event. The event promises shoppers: " a morning of holiday shopping, and light refreshments at a private shopping event. Personal shoppers will be on hand to help you with all your shopping needs" . To celebrate, J.Crew is offering 20% off any purchase of $125+.
The event is planned for Sunday, 12/6/09, from 10-12PM (the store opens to the public at 11AM, but J.Crew will have a special section for attendees). Click here to RSVP. (It's unclear if this event is only open to alumni only or friends of alumni.)

Okay, well I was just there TODAY and spent that much! It seems like too much trouble to return my items and then try and sneak in the event if it's invite only. This is also the location where the Madewell store is where I bought the cascade necklace.

ReplyDeleteI went to Penn for grad school and didn't get an email about this. I registered too, but if it's so easy to register, it makes me think it's going to be a mob scene.
ReplyDeleteEmily are you going to go? I feel a little nervous showing up for an event I wasn't really invited to, even though I registered.
ReplyDeleteI'll probably go. I think if you bring the announcement page and the email you got confirming it, it should be fine. I wonder if they made a mistake and the registration wasn't supposed to be so accessible. Oh well, get their early and if it's crazy, check out the rest of the mall!

ReplyDeleteI phoned the store, and they said I didn't need to bring anything, that the event starts at 10am which is 1 hour before they normally open on sunday. I guess they are being very casual about it. So I'll give it a go! I'd like to get some cashmere and jewelry.
