Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available in the Spring/Summer sale, or to see some new Summer/Fall arrivals {wahoo!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Anyone have any idea when final sale will end in stores?

  2. My PS told me next Wednesday would be the last day of final sale in stores...

  3. Nordstrom anniversary sale is going on, and they too have a version of the infamous flower tee:

Price is good; $24.90 on sale.

  4. Also here is what is definitely a knock-off of the wool Madeline dress with the ruffled neckline from last winter:

  5. Wow, major update this morning (1012 items)... too bad there's not FS code. Oh well, thanks for saving me some $$, JC!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I am surprised at JCrew not offering any incentive to shop with them. Final Sale: not cutting it with no additional % off or free shipping codes....big update or not.

So many other good deals going on! Nordstroms here I come!

  7. ugh, the FS got me again... I ordered a cashmere sweater I had been stalking for a while.

  8. Anyone try the Palma vachetta ankle-wrap heels? There are a lot of these left and I'm kind of surprised. Almost bought them FP when they came out and then it rained for a while and I forgot about strappy sandals.

Would love to hear an opinion on fit, style, comfort, quality. TIA

  9. xoxo - I remember a while back someone posting that the strap came out of the shoe after a couple of wears or something, so that has kept me away from them.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I ordered them but was dissapointed - the front strap is really big on my foot (may just be me though). I could see how the strap might come out of the shoe with some wear and tear. That being said, I ordered the gold and the straps were so gorgeous and soft. Such a pity!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Thank you Kristin and Kate. I seem to recall it was the flat pair that had the strap detach problem but maybe I am just rationalizing and if one style has it, could be a design problem for all.

There is likely a darn good reason they are drastically reduced and so many left.

I am ooh-ing and ah-ing over the new Chie Mihara Frilled Heels. Probably will just give up on sandals for this year and go with some nice fall shoes.

  12. I'm considering of getting the large Gallery Hobo but can't decide on the color...I'm torn between the metallic gold and silver.
Which one do you think is more versatile?

    ReplyDelete
  13. lilac cupcake:
that tee at Nordstrom is cute...especially in dark purple. It says dry clean, but I'm sure you can use The Laundress delicate wash detergent and either handwash or use a mesh bag in gentle cycle.
Price is also good. I just can't justify myself getting tees for more than $40.

    ReplyDelete
  14. jcmama: I was eyeing the purple one too :) I have the original rose tees, which I launder in the delicate cycle inside out and inside a lingerie bag. Same with the dryer. They still look great, so I would do the same with one of these, I think.

  15. I got the Palma heels in gold. I returned them because the buckle hit my ankle bone at a weird spot and it hurt. I liked them though.

  16. The Tinley Park B&M in Illinois is still giving 20% off sale items.

I have been twice in a week and grabbed a few items already. I will check again on Saturday when I go back.

    ReplyDelete
  17. When I was in my local B&M this week, they had the final sale going plus an additional 20% off! They were rather overpicked though...hm.

  18. If someone sees' ikat pencil skirt in 4 or 6 , please drop me a line
I ordered one last week and the zipper is broken :'(

  19. I actually snagged the crystal constellation cardigan (G20 obama)
I think there's still another small right now

  20. Anyone been to the DC Georgetown store?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I just placed an order with Nordstrom. I got a TON of new stuff and free shipping! I wish J.Crew would do some sort of incentive - I'm not going to risk "final sale" when there is no incentive to buy...

    ReplyDelete
  22. I have splurged big time on the J.Crew jewelry! :p
Was able to get some really nice ones in stores... it's just hard work trying to "look" for them as most of them aren't marked with the sale price! I think it's worth it since I can wear them for a very long time and they look fantastic!:)

  23. Pat,
Email customer service and ask they reimburse you to have the zipper professionally fixed.

  24. I got the Delfine skirt in an order today and it is really cute. The neon and burnished gold stripes looks so fabulous with my tan. The pencil shape makes it a little more serious than if it were a mini. The stretch cotton lining is pretty comfortable as well. Seems to be popping back on FS regularly yet so if you want a bright summer skirt that isn't a mini, this could be a good option.

  25. Re: Nordstrom flower tee
I saw it today in the store, but wasn't thrilled with the quality. The chiffon detail was too minimal for me, and the quality of the cotton was not to my standards. I wouldn't recommend it to JCAs.

  26. New Haven, CT store still had 20% off final sale, but it was REALLY REALLY picked over. Tons of XL and L left of tissue tees, a couple M Sunbleached Crinkle Flower Tees, Georgia cardis, mica minis in a fair selection of sizes, flip flops, capri sandals, headbands, belts, and I managed to snag for myself a Misted Gladiola Mini for 15.99.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Went to make some returns today. The linen tweed mica mini's were marked down to $19.99 and then you could take an additional 20% off. Belts were $9.99. They also had a bunch of tissue tees for $9.99 and the sanur dress was $19.99. Grabbed one of each, but everything else was pretty much picked over.

  29. Just got back from le fab anniversary sale chez nordstrom's - got some great items, including a really smart boucle jacket, a leather jacket & pair of pumps. I did stop into j.crew, but wasn't swayed by all their tissue-thin chiffon-y offerings. Tried on the matchstick destroyed jeans - meh. They're not worth $118. And why put pockets in jeans if they're only an inch deep? Either give me pockets I can put my hands into, or don't bother.

Stopped in at Ann Taylor, too, and found a great dress on sale. AT does have some items that are final sale, but they're deeply discounted, unlike at J.Crew.

  30. Went by Walnut Creek J. Crew today and the store is EMPTY - both of people and clothes. Two people asked if they were going out of business while I was in there. The SA said its always like that in July - they clear out to get ready for fall items at the end of July... but wow - it was really empty. There were three watercolor pencil skirts (can't remember name?) in sizes 6 & 8 (I think) on sale for $69.99 - plus the 20% off if anyone is in the market.
I also went to the Nordy sale - wow! crazy! There were quite a few JC knock-offs - and I thought the rose tees were pretty cute. Didn't jump in, but am stil thinking about it :)
BR & Gap were also hopping. Seems like a big missed opportunity by JC!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Forgot to say that the SA in the store told me that the new collection will be coming to the stores in two weeks. Yeah! That made me look past the sale rack...Can't wait to see new stuff!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Depending on what your store has, a visit might be worth it to you. I picked up the following BEFORE 20% off:
    -Gladiola Mini, 0, $19.99
    -Mica Tweed Mini, $19.99
    -Bon bon Dress, $19.99
    -(3) Summerweight Cardigans, $19.99
    -Dangling Dots Gold Necklace, $19.99

  33. I totally agree with ShuLuvr and I absolutely love the skirt
I reviewed it on my blog :-) with a lot of styling options.Check it out!

  34. Stopped by my Local Jcrew today and found that all Womans wear was an additional 20% off. Sale & regular price items.

Saved big $$, compared to my recent online purchases.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Correct that, I guess it was an additional 20% off sale items in store?
    I thought it was everything.

I only got sale items not sure. I was returning some items I bought online when I caught the sale.

Usually my local Jcrew is pretty picked over but I got some great finds today.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Went to J. Crew today (Copley Place, Boston) and the store is empty. Belts were $9.99 (only M and L). They also had tons of L-XL white tissue tees. Sad…

    ReplyDelete
  37. Went to the Brea store in CA today (friday) and they had one Havona tank size 10 and one of the dazzling dots pencil skirt in size 8 i believe, both were on sale plus 20% off.
Sadly they aren't my size or i would've pick them up :(

  38. riverside NJ was very empty sale was picked over but I did get the white matchstick jeans with the holes for 56 after the discount and the gold Bella bag that some one just returned for 56 which I really wanted. Thats the small clutch just perfect and versatile. the perfect tee $15. otherwise not much else. rest of the mall not very busy I think rest of Bergen county down at Nordies. I cant buy fall in July buy may be tempted to check it out anyway

  39. I will be going today as I have several returns. My store is pretty small and usually doesn't have much, hopefully there will be a few things on sale. I'm thinking about trying the Mica mini one size up to see if I can get a little more length. I'll report back on any finds.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Forgot to mention, my store sent me a card in the mail a few days ago ammouncing "the largest sale of the season". I'll see if that's true!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Miss, I checked out your blog and the Delfine skirt looks great on you. The fit of the skirt is absolutely perfect, it is so well-constructed. I wore mine out last night with a very fine-knit ivory polo sweater (Ralph Lauren) and burnt sienna Lulu heels. My husband totally loved it. I got a lot of looks and two women asked where I got the skirt. :)

It's very distinctive and since it can be dressed up or down I expect I will get quite a bit of wear out of it this summer and I'm already scouting my closet to see if I can transition it into fall. The neon is a challenge for autumn but the burnished gold basketweave stripes make me think I might be able to do it. Really happy to have picked this collection item up online after I thought it had sold out.

Good luck with your blog MissMasala.

  42. Desert Flower, I really wanted to love the Mica mini but it was too short. The fabric is very nice and it felt good on but I'm fairly tall and it was just too micro-mini on me. I found it sat low on the waist in my usual size so didn't think of sizing up for length. If that works for you I would love to hear about it.

    TIA

  43. There is a size 0 Watercolor pencil skirt for $69.99 minus 20% on the final sale rack at my store. (502) 412-7262 FYI in case you are still looking!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Has anyone seen/own/reviewed the new sparkling rose tee? I'm trying to decide which color to order.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Late jumping on the bandwagon. I've got a trip coming up, and would love to have a casual/dressy comfortable skirt. I think the Watercolor Floral Skirt (14864) would do nicely. If you happen to see one, would you mind posting the store. I need a size 6. Thanks in advance. And good luck with your own shopping. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Shulvr, I tried the Mica mini and I had the same result as you. I love the fabric and the style, I wish it was a bit longer!

My store in Tucson had tons of the twisted neckline tees, the Japanese cotton one that came in heather grey and heather caramel, for $19. Lots of shorts and bermudas, tons of capris. Not much for sweaters. Lots of different styles of white cotton blouses and shirts. Very few skirts, but I did pick up the ombre linen pencil skirt in blue/white. I already have it in the yellow/white and I love it. There was an indigo floral skirt in size 4, it was a return, if anyone is looking for it since it's sold out online.

The SA told me new items would be in store on July 28.

On an unrelated note, I got the Aurora heels on the website after the restock this morning! Very excited.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Shulvr, I also have the Delfine skirt. I just purchased a cardi in a teal/turquoise color that I will pair with it in the fall. I have played in my closet and tried it with a blue oxford shirt, an emerald green sweater and a brown twinset and they all looked good.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm the one whose Palma patent leather flats broke the third time I wore them. It was so sad! I wouldn't recommend them.

I got the adorable pink printed shorts in store for $19.99 plus 20% off, the striped broadcloth short sleeved blouse for the same price, and the wide patent jeans belt for $9.99. This was at the Asheville, NC B&M yesterday. They actually have a pretty good sale section going on right now!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Desert Flower, I never thought of trying teal and blue with the delfine skirt, what a great idea. I was working with browns and neutrals but I have so many blue and teal options. It's really such a fun piece that I should have thought of trying contrasting brights. Thanks!

  50. Does anyone know if the retail stores are offering matchstick jeans at a lower clearanced price than the online offer of $69.99?...

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yes, Alexis and another poster kindly mentioned about the matchstick jeans last week--they are marked down to $39.99 plus an additional 20% off in stores in the deep indigo wash color (DIW).

  52. Belle de Jour,
Try the Walnut Creek, CA store for the watercolor pencil skirt. They had three there on Friday and I think one or two were in size 6.
    HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Mack, thanks for the help. I tried there last night (FFM's post). No luck.
I must let everyone know how helpful the stores are. They can no longer do store-to-store searches; but they certainly provided lots of phone numbers (not specific to my need, more the ones in their areas).
And mostly, I liked to the JCA'ers who've always been to kind and generous. The information highway is going strong.
    Enjoy your day.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Belle de jour, do you have a phone # for that store? Thanks so much!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Belle de jour, you might try Scottsdale. My ps said that is the first b&m he tries b/c they carry so much stock. If you want the skirt that badly, start calling around. I found a jacket last year at the 16th store I tried. :) Good luck!

  57. Apologies are due. I'm so sorry Mack. I was mixing your post up with one from FFM last week. Yes, I did phone Walnut Creek based on YOUR post. Thanks.

Kat - The phone number for Walnut Creek is 925 943 7664. Good luck. They still had 2 size 8's as of yesterday.

Math Teacher - Thanks for the info. They're both sold out.

  58. hello JCAs!

new to the comments section, but an avid follower of the blog!

i'm searching for the delfine skirt in a 2 or 4...i know there have been popbacks online lately, but i seem to miss the early pops (i have a sketchy sleeping 1 yr old and try to catch sleep when i get it!). was thinking about calling a bunch of stores in the meantime, but i can't recall--was the delfine available at the B&Ms or an online only item?! i know i've seen the crewcuts version in my B&M, but can't recall if i ever saw the adult version?!

if anyone knows, please let me know! i'll start phoning in the meantime...

many thanks! i love, love this skirt--i'm almost considering purchasing it for my daughter and living vicariously through her! (except it'll fit her for about 2min thus not too cost effective! :))

    ReplyDelete
  59. Stephanie, according to my catalogue and the website, the Delfine skirt is a Collection item available "in select stores". I don't know which stores those would be! Definitely try the Madison Avenue Collection Store.

    ReplyDelete
  60. thanks, desert flower!
madison ave shop is def my first call--i tried them earlier but perhaps they have an early close time on sundays--no answer after a few tries. i did however score the porthole/eyelet skirt there last week and they courier-ed it over to my apt an hour later...great, friendly service!

    ReplyDelete
  61. wow. so this weekend I went to two chicago area J.crews, and was terribly disappointed with the selection in both! (oakbrook and woodfield) This is extremely rare as I usually exit j.crew with several bags of treasures. . but it seemed VERY picked over, and mostly older items and sale. I didn't see anything new, and the walls were bare. total bust, and I was very sad. hope you all had better luck!
