Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Note/FYI: Received a pair of plaid pants today that I ordered in a tall length. They measured the same as the regular inseam (2” less than they should) so I decided to return. Even though they were defective IMO I was told when I order final sale it’s “at your own risk.” I know they are cracking down on final sale returns but I thought that was unfair. I ordered tall for a very specific reason. I didn’t order regular because I knew that length wouldn’t work.

While at the store I decided to try some sandals that I had been eyeing.

Flat thongs. Size 8.5. BE803 There is a lot of room between my foot and the strap and they hurt! Maybe they would break in.

Heeled thongs. Size 9. BE793 These run much smaller than the flat ones as you could see the 9 barely fits. This color is beautiful. BUT THEY HURT!

Both of these above are lovely colors and maybe they would break in so keep them in mind at the right price. The brown is richer than it looks in the pics.

Fisherman sandals. BE766 These are a 9 and also just fit. They are awful. The straps and opening hit the toes in such a weird way. Maybe with socks they could work but honestly I couldn’t get them off fast enough. If you like this style try the Everlane ones look much nicer.

I’ve been hesitant to order final sale shoes and with good reason. I’ve been lucky with Nordic boots and clog boots and the high tops but these sandals are not what they used to be. I hate to be negative but trying to be honest.

I posted try on pics in the unofficial FB group.

    1. the pants inseam measuring 2" off is crazy, they should have let you return. Final Sale being "at your own risk" should also assume that you trust them to accurately represent/describe the merchandise. I'm not letting myself order any more final sale jeans as I've had such terrible luck. So annoying when the jeans I receive look *nothing* like the pics on website, often find that washes look weird/streaky or lighter colored IRL.

    2. She did let me return but was not nice about it! I was glad I didn’t need to speak with a manager. And I agree the denim washes don’t show well online. I stopped ordering final sale jeans. Just not worth it. The fits are too inconsistent

    1. I swear by Tory Burch shoes and sandals
They are expensive even on sale
      Outlets are expensive too
      Never pain or blisters
I am a person of heels, but do own flats from both jcrew and Tory Burch.
They are the softest leather so they get old quick and the heels go quickly but l keep bying for style and comfort. I always always do sale or outlet. As my mother says theese shoes are not for walking Manhatan and running around the hospital. They are to ride on your car and walk on carpet lol 😂
I have scored some on eBay and Poshmark
I do have some great Jcrew shoes and always keeping an eye. But Tory Burch is my go to unfortunately 😩😂

    2. Also I do read face book page via my daughters account but don’t have my own …. Always been anti Facebook and social media lol
      So I can’t post anything…, lol
But been looking and reading …, 😊🥰

    3. I love the TB sandals also...most of what I have are the Millers and ALL bought on sale. I have a few other styles but the Millers have my heart! I like the JC sandals but have been very slow to buy them. I bought up the espadrilles last summer and haven't bought any new JC sandals since. The crackdown on final sale has been a definite turn off with the shoe sizing so crazy for the ones that I like.

Have a great week JCAs! Spring in moving in (and the pollen even quicker!)

  3. I did want to report that I bought my first Helmut Lang shirt!! Was looking for the (forever elusive) perfect Tshirt and ended up with a black cut-out shirt. Too small but loved the style. Thanks again to everyone for the recommendations from that long ago conversation ;>)

  4. I didn't visit the store but I did place a decent-size online order with the 60% promo, the 1st since January. Hoodies, flex leggings (COVID-lounging is still my thing!), jewelry and sunglasses. I really wanted some sandals but refused to buy them with F/S so the accessories alternatives were a pretty good substitute

  5. I got a card in the mail today for $25 off a $75 JC card purchase. I rarely use these because they won't let you combine with other promos so they're really not that great a deal. (Maybe if there was something I wanted that was excluded from promo.) Anyway, check your mail, it's a little tri fold postcard size.

  6. For anyone interested if you do the old trick of entering a product category like “dress” into the search some new things will come up.

It’s just not going to be my year at JCrew. Between the muted palette and the styles/cuts I’m not seeing anything that would work for my coloring/figure/age/lifestyle. I swear there can’t be anyone on the women’s design team with a large bust…not much will flatter the well endowed!

  7. I visited the store today and tried on the Willa linen cupro blazer and new pleated pants in the faded spice color. The color is really beautiful and I love the look of the fabric, but the cut and construction leave something to be desired. I didn’t find either particularly flattering. Maybe it’s the type of thing I’d need to try really oversized to get that slouchy suit look.
I am enjoying the relaxed cotton button downs, so there is something I like at least. I also saw a classic button down in stripe in a clay color that was really pretty. (That is already in the sale section.)

    3. I saw that stripe button down in the clay color online and thought it looked good. Couldn't decide about the color as it's one of those things that could be a big surprise when seen IRL. Glad to hear it's a good one.

    4. Agree Julie. The colors don’t always (often?) appear accurately. I’d say it blends with the new Faded Spice. Not quite coral, a little dirtier than Nantucket Red of the old days but similar.
FYI madewell has a bandana in the sale section which is 50 percent off today…I just got it last week when it was only 30 percent off. It has the same colors in it, in an abstract geometric print. I love Madewell lightweight bandanas because they are so comfortable in warmer weather too.

  8. Of the new arrivals, I like the raffia bangle (BI321), the V-neck soft crinkle gauze popover (BI431), and (BH784) the slim wide-leg jean in Medium Indigo wash. That's about it. I'll probably have to size down with the gauze popover.

  9. quick visit to the website this AM...stuff that was previously reduced and then an extra 50-60% off now back to full price, lol. Maybe a better promo coming in early May.

    1. Yes and sale that was 60 off is only 30. Since I was hesitating even with the low prices I don’t think I’ll pay almost double.
