  1. Not a vent, but a request for advice. I'm having a hard time deciding whether to order any of the Liberty Elysian Day pieces. It's hard for me to get a read on how the print presents in real life. I've looked at google images of the fabric and print on other websites and it seems like a fairly muted print compared to, for example, the Liberty Petunia Floral print that was recently offered at J Crew. (I have the Petunia Floral shirt AW206 and wearing it cheers me up.) Has anyone seen any of the Elysian Day pieces in real life? Any thoughts?

As an aside - the "Petunia Floral" print - that does not seem to be an official Liberty print name. Does anyone know what it is called by Liberty?

    Thanks very much

    1. I just returned the Elysian shirt. I did like it. The pink over yellow was nice. It did feel tiny washed out but pretty and prob nice for summer! However because I ordered the dress and summer color feel I decided to return the shirt as I don’t want same print only for summer! I do think liberty cheers me up in general! I think this is happy color but yes little pale. If the shirt is on some super duper sale I may reorder! I did seize down to zero. What I dislike about the current shirts is the very long length! Almost men’s style, Huggins the hips. So must be tucked in and I do like untucked sometimes.

    2. Kate is right. It’s a little washed out for paler tones but would work well layered under navy sweaters. I disliked the length hence returned. Also fit was too loose for me. I wish they retire their “relaxed” fit cut.

    3. The Elysian dress came in BA935. Fits tts. Comes inch above the knee. Sleeves a little puff not huge. Cute buttons! The color is washed out making it look like a house dress and me super pale. It washed me out! I will return! I like the style! Just not my color!

  2. Thanks, everyone. This is very helpful. "Washed out" and "pale" are not what I'm looking for personally in a Liberty print so I can take my sales goggles off and let this one pass. Appreciate the help.

    1. haha, same here. Just saved $36 not trying the (final sale) elysian day floral shirt. Also Toronto Modern, thanks for the reminder to google images of the specific liberty fabrics. I used to do that and forgot about how helpful it is. It's easy to find lots of photos of the fabrics, people selling liberty yardage on Etsy, etc., and get a much better idea of how they look. J Crew online photos sometimes lighten/overexpose colors.
