Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Happy Labor Day JCAs! No store visit since I'm visiting Clearwater. With 40% off, educator discount and rewards, I decided to order Ludlow Slim-fit suit pant in Italian cashmere. I have a Collection double cashmere jacket in navy from a few years that I love, and I'm hoping the pants will match. There was never a pant option made for women (that I'm aware of), so decided to try the men's option. Will report back once I receive. I may still order a few of the silk short options (BA286 BA289). Does anyone have them? Would love feedback on material and fit.

    1. Oh report back on the men’s! I’ve worn men’s pants in the past—the rise and the leg shape can work really well. Can always get the waist taken in. I believe I recently saw Leandra Cohen (formerly Medine, of Man Repeller) wearing a men’s jcrew suit and the cut was perfect for that oversized look. Of course she’s tall and lanky which doesn’t hurt for that effect.

    2. I found it so had to share…now granted I’d style it differently but I really like the cut of the pants on her. How did you choose the size, by your hips on the men’s size chart?

    4. Hello Suz! I chose my pants based upon my son's size. I can wear his shorts, so I picked the waist size based upon that (very scientific :). I always like a 32" length rather than 30 because I can wear heels. I'll keep you posted once I receive them. If I need to alter, I'll take to Nordstrom since alterations are free. Thanks for sharing the article! I really like her style.

  3. Really surprised the CARDLOVE promo wasn’t extended to all cardmembers for the holiday.

Ordered Everlane’s new organic cotton sleeveless turtleneck. I like the silhouette and intend to wear it sleeveless now but can layer in cooler weather. I tried jcrew’s sleeveless turtleneck last year but don’t like the cut on me, so I hope this one works. Also trying a more fitted/thin knit version because somehow my sleeveless knits could use a refresh.

  5. Ok JCA’s I’m sure many of you have received the email announcement a short while ago. They’ve put a lot of suspense to this. What do you think is going to take place? What’s going to be new? Fashion week? Jenna Lyons returning? Jcrew-Madewell merger? Thread Up purchasing the company or another large buyout? I’m mystified. OT I did spot a new Alfie Blazer in Navy Herringbone earlier from Abraham Moon Mills. Looks interesting. Been awhile since Jcrew was doing business with them.
