    1. I may purchase the AZ 281 Super Thankful when and if Jcrew gets it’s act together

    2. for years, J.Crew prided itself that its clothes were so distinctive no logo was necessary. And this was true - people recognized the sweater necklines, the shoulder line, the tweeds… Now that they’re pushing J.C**p, they think I want to give them free advertising? No thanks.

    3. Lynn, what item is that, nothing comes up when I put in that style number.

      Can’t say I’m big on logo tees…

    5. @wellfedfred, I was being sarcastic. Have a vent on the item,AZ 508, the Ratti Compass print halter top. Now this is a piece of xxxp. I wanted this because the print looked interesting online so I purchased 2 thinking if they didn’t work I have it made into a bandana. This fabric is so sheer it looks like a reject run. I can’t imagine Ratti turning out something so awful. The stitching is awful as well. I just telephoned CS on this and they allowed a return and they’re going back. I couldn’t believe the reviews in this item other than it ran large. I suppose not all of us think alike when it comes to quality. I don’t care how much it was marked down to. I wouldn’t pay $5.00 for this. Maybe as a handkerchief to blow my nose once and throw it away.

    6. I wonder who they send over to Italy to go thru the Ratti archives and how much work actually gets done. I loved the print you mention, couldnt imagine wearing the items they made from it.

I used to cringe when I shopped with my Mom and she’d turn something inside out, measure to see if both sides of a collar were identical, etc etc. Now I’m grateful for the education.

    7. @Wellfedfred, likely someone inexperienced that enjoys Prosecco, Prosciutto and Pasta. In reference to your Mom, my at her was like that. I remember as a small child he purchased a beautiful cotton shirt dress for my mother that had this beautiful cotton etched nautical print in white with blue etched sailboats on it. The store was in Hartford,Ct (I grew up in Old Saybrook) and called Henry Miller. I remember that dress so well. I am thinking it was a Ratti print. This is why I purchased the halter top.It brought memories of my father and his excellent taste in well made clothes and fabrics. There’s a very nice and interesting article about this store and a link which also highlights preppy. https://www.courant.com/news/connecticut/hc-xpm-2003-08-31-0308310151-story.html

    8. @Lynn, I came on just to rant about the Ratti compass halter. I've been eying it for awhile, couldn't think of when I'd wear it, then when it went on sale for $59.xx, I seriously considered buying but was deterred by FS and the sizing reviews. I went yesterday to the Rockefeller Center store where I put two on hold for me to try, and it's such a piece of crap. All I could think of was if this was JCrew from 10 years ago (or even 8 years ago), this would be silk and lined. The print is old school JC, the quality is TERRIBLE. The cotton felt like bad nonabsorbent dishcloth cotton material; it was stiff. I'm between a S and M, and neither fit. The S laid weirdly at the chest but was hanging in the back. The M was too big but didn't lay weirdly at the chest. The halter ties were too wide and thick. I wouldn't pay more than $10 for it - and even if it were $10, I still wouldn't buy since the fit was awful.

    9. I saw the Ratti compass halter top today as well. It really should have just been a bandana. That’s basically what the fabric feels like. A thin cotton bandana

    10. @eeps, your feedback is priceless, hilarious and unfortunately so true. CS is allowing return of them as I decided they aren’t worthy of being made into a bandana.I also gave them detailed feedback.I can’t imagine anyone spending $$ on the dress either. Ugly design, bad fabric, etc.

  2. Placed 3 small orders with J.Crew. All orders were botched up. First I ordered a dip-dyed linen shirt. I spoke with CS, asked for measurements. What could go wrong? Once it arrived, i realized that measurements were wrong and the size i needed sold out. Returned. Then I was able to catch a bracelet on pop-back and was excited to get it. But when i received the order, there turned out to be a wrong item in the package. Shipped it back. I did not learn my lesson and placed an order for a merino relaxed fit crew neck sweater AQ383. The price was good, it is a classic (even if oversized) item - what can go wrong? Stitching on the front collar was messed up. The sweater was heather bluestone color, so a messed up collar was visible. Back it goes.
I want to place an order and be excited to receive it, but at this point, i will be betting elsewhere as odds are not good for JCrew. Just not good.

    1. Anonymous, sorry to hear about problem orders. As far as the dip dyed linen shirt I posted to size down at least one size if not two depending on your normal sizing. CS is not era helpful when it comes to measurements as they many times they don’t have them. The stylists do at leas for this one. I suggest contacting Dana J x53453 who’s been with the company for over 15 years and will accommodate you on both purchases and returns. I promise you will like her. I love her and have used her services all the time. Good luck

    2. Thank you, Lynn. As always, you are so helpful! Indeed, a good stylist could make a world of difference with an advice. I'll contact her next time for sure.
I am just amazed that other companies - like Uniqlo - are able to offer simple measurements of each item on their website. And JCrew spends more money on fielding CS support and processing returns (and potentially losing customers) and cannot provide measurement online... Well, that and quality control that has been abysmal in the late years...

    3. @Anonymous, You’re welcome. I try to be helpful especially given the lack of quality and sizing issues. I do hope things work out for you and the stylist are given more information as it’s so frustrating and demoralizing for them trying to do their job. If not for Dana and the ladies here giving great feedback, I wouldn’t be purchasing anything. My former store closed 3 years ago and since I’m abroad, I’m even more dependent on feedback.

  3. Cotton Cashmere pocket mock turtleneck BA320. Friend purchased this and she likes it. Ran TTS for her, soft, it does run short but at 5’6 and wearing high waisted jeans or pants it works for her. She purchased it for $63.00 but it’s not worth any more than that. The neck rides high for a mock turtle neck. Looks very nice on her but for myself not having an Audrey Hepburn neck this was a pass.

  4. BB233 Ratti Classic fit seashell print. Another big fail. The dimensions on this blouse are ridiculous and although the print itself is somewhat interesting that’s where it ends. Sleeves are absurdly large, bust area runs a little large and then narrows south. I can see this blouse having shrinkage issues. Colors are dull and although reviews said the cotton is beautiful I respectfully disagree. Remember the beautiful popovers that were sold up until 2018? They should have constructed this shirt the same way. Returning

  6. I understand that stress can be an incentive for breakouts. My mouth and gums were all lesions and bumps and I was afraid to go out in public. All that helped was an anti-viral medicine taken orally. I thought it was a one-time deal; however, it has resurfaced unexpectedly and I am so let down. I am looking into Ayurvedic oils like melaleuca and lavender oil for handling the outbreaks of this virus. I am over 30, and not happy. This led me to the search for a permanent cure for the Herpes Virus which has taken a toll on my health, When i came across Herbalist Razor Traditional Herbal Medicine, After seeing some reviews and visiting his website , i placed an order for his Traditional Herbal Medicine , which i applied for 18 days , I am so Glad and delighted to be finally cured of herpes Virus 1. You too can get cured and have a better life, Contact Herbalist razor on His mail : herbalistrazorherbalhome@gmail.com , Call/Whatsapp Him via +2349065420442. God bless You
