Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. There are now 25% off on new items that were not discounted yesterday. Not very generous;) Has anyone changed their mind about any of the items and ordereing? OT, Saks has Lele Sadoughi face masks with embellishments on them which are really cute. 3 for $40.00. Some look very Jcrewish. I ordered 2 sets one which included a blue/white stripe with pearls and another which includes moon/stars. There's a leopard print in there too. Use Shoprunner if you order and have an account.

    1. Those are adorable. I think I will purchase one set to bring on vacation. Thank you for bringing them to my attention. Isn’t Shoprunner a nice little help?

    1. @Shopping Celle, I haven’t but I would go up a size depending on your hips and waist. At least if you size up you can always have them tailored. If you have a Nordstrom Card you probably know there are free alterations. Just a thought. Good luck they’re pretty.

  3. Forgot to add on the Shop Runner, you can use Amex or MasterCard if you purchase. It will arrive within 2 business days. I just received a shipping confirmation with arrival on next Tuesday to my friend’s home. I’ve been using the service for years and anything I ever ordered was delivered on time. On another note my Jcrew purchases have shipped out immediately overall and no delays with UPS Ground. Ordered some items from BR and they arrived within 3 days of shipping. Hope all of you are receiving items in a timely fashion. Have a nice weekend all.

  4. I took advantage of the $24 cashmere crewnecks early this morning. The colors are a little brighter than my typical winter wardrobe but it seemed too good a deal to pass up.

  5. Quarantine fatigue got me today. I’ve been contemplating the High-rise pull-on Peyton wide-leg pant in lace Style AE593 Color: HARVEST RED
basically because I have the tie neck sleeveless top that matches and LOVE the color.
Of course I haven’t worn the top yet but figured the matching pants will make it look like a jumpsuit and if we have any events I will be happy to have something red, comfortable and hopefully flattering enough in my closet. The shirt works best untucked so the elastic back of the pants will hopefully not bother me.
Red is a year round color for me, basically the only one.

Also I had the red lace and red pleated side leg easy pants and sold both—mostly because I didn’t have a perfectly matching top...at least that’s what I’ll tell myself.

    1. I bought item L2883, the tall peyton pants in linen. I've been thinking about purchasing them in white but the reviews are mixed when it comes to whether or not you can see the pockets. Does anyone have experience with the white version of these pants? I bought yellow and the mint color.

    2. The lace ones are different, they’re pull on. I don’t have experience with the regular peyton but I can tell they wouldn’t work well for me, I’m just hoping the looser size in the pull on is ok.

  6. @SuzHas, Ah lady in Red, I bet you look stunning in that color and what a lovely combo. Such thoughtful ideas. I too, like red and I’m wearing more of it as well. Remember the reds from years ago? They were gorgeous. The cashmere sweaters etc. One item that comes to mind is the 2014 swing raincoat navy with red interior & I wear it all the time. As the interior is red so is the hood which is detachable and it’s held up. I feel like Little Red Riding Hood in reverse! Enjoy your outfits and wear them well!

  7. For any Canadian jcas - since we don't get the online sales - the 70% off sale is still ongoing in the stores. Lots of summer clearance tees and shirts, racks of 14.99 pants, a few skirts, almost no dresses. Picked up the Ratti regatta shirt for $30 whereas it’s still $173 on the Canadian website. Regular price items 25% off, but many of those are already in the sale section online and they will price match of course. New rollout has not arrived yet. Fitting rooms are open!

  8. Anyone else shopping the secret stock sale that Madewell has been running? It reminds me of treasure hunting at the store in Arden, North Carolina. I've ordered about $100 worth of stuff so far.

  9. Some reviews:
I've been snagging amazing deals lately. Here are my thoughts in case they are helpful.

    Just ordered:
The cashmere v neck ($57) and crew neck ($24!)in pale guava, xs, because I just love that color. I'm very petite but jcrew sweaters are generally too tight in the arms. I've started wearing them like blouses - tucked into skirts, suit bottoms, etc. I've never been much of a button down girl. I did't worry about final sale since I'm pretty sure of my size. I ordered the green and red vnecks about a month ago and they are fine. Not butter soft cashmere but serviceable. I am a little worried pale guava will be see through. I hope not.

    What I kept:

Petite crochet ribbon skirt in colorblock v- a bit J.crew of yore. ($22) Saw this in store and it looked much nicer than it did online and ordered my petite size final sale - and guess, what, it fits! I was worried because reviews said waist is small and hips are wide. It's not formfitting in my normal size (P0) and it hits just below the knee, which is a sweet spot for me. I only paid $22, but I'm not sure I would recommend buying it final sale because of the potential fit issues. The size has got to be perfect, because tailoring will be expensive.

Button-front maxi dress in eyelet. Item: AP210 ($39.90). This is a score. I knew it fit, because I'd tried it on before, so I was OK with final sale. It is a tad loose in the chest and it's quite long for me (I'm 5-2) but the cotton is high quality and it's lined and to be honest I would have been happy paying full price for it (148). Perfect white maxi dress.

Metallic Abbie sandals with knotted straps Item: AN884 ($27). A ride along, but 100% leather. Fit is good. Extremely pretty. we will see how they wear but at $27 they cost the same as some flip flops. For leather!

Tiered pull-on midi skirt in tossed bouquet print, Item: AP058
SAFFRON BRIAR ($17). Just darling. I was worried it would be too small in the waist or make me look frumpy but no, it's perfect. Material is interesting (silky viscose).

10" demi-boot crop jean in eyelet, Item: AL874 Color: NATURAL ($17). Ordered regular (not petite). Creamy, almost a pale yellow. The high rise is super flattering. My life is much too messy for white pants but this cut is so great I was willing to give it a go.

Pleated midi skirt in shimmering plaid Item: L3164
Size: 00Color: FUCHSIA GREEN MULTI. ($40). Hemmed and hawed on this one, because the fabric is so great and unusual. It is a bit long for me, but an easy fix to tailor. I actually ordered it twice because I really wasn't sure but it's really really pretty and goes with all kinds of stuff I already have. Pleats are funny. If they lie well, they are great, but if they don't, they re awful.

  10. What went back:

Remi pant in bi-stretch cotton, Item: AG172. I really liked this pant exceptx that it was a tad tight in the crotch area. I got the regular size, not petite, because although I am short J crew petite pants generally don't work on me (the knee doesn't hit at the right place). I think it's because I am petite but my butt is not (lol). I didn't want to risk seeing what happened at the crotch after I wore it all day.

Puff-sleeve midi dress in bandana flowers print, Item: AO895
Size: 00, Color: GREEN IVORY. Reviews are spot on - it's too big in the chest and too tight in the waist and overall too long and frumpy for this petite. This is for hourglass types. The print to be honest looked better online and the fabric was not awesome. But I can see some gals rocking this. I looked like I was wearing a housedress and not in a good way.

Flutter-sleeve midi dress in bandana floral Item: AO866
Size: XX-SMALL Color: RAW INDIGO VIBRANT FUCHS. This also did not work for my shape. It made me look shorter and wider and actually kind of pregnant. Fabric IMO was also not great. Print was super cute though. Was kind of sad it didn't work out but it was just so unflattering on me.

Collection shift dress in signature floral-print silk twill
Item: AK230 Size: 00Color: ABIGAIL MULTI. This was really high quality, and the fabric and print were just great. The cut did not work for me - it overwhelmed me. Would have loved to see this in a sleeveless dress or maybe a skirt. I thought about the bathing suit but it was too low cut.

    1. I am not petite as you, but passed on the silk shift dress too - clothing without a defined waist does not really work for me. But it looked so pretty!

    2. I also got the AK230 Floral dress and it’s going back! It’s great color, quality and craftsmanship but I can’t seem to make it work! I can see it more fitted and shorter ... 70’s look... I may try it with a chain belt last time but doing my returns next week And sad to see this one has to go too...

  12. I dropped by Rock Center today. Exchanged the pull-on slip skirt in pecan ivory polka dot for the leopard dot version (even exchange, 40% off full price); I figure I have more flexibility in dressing down the leopard dot version than the polka dots, and expect to be WFH until at least January. Grabbed a white v-neck vintage tee (need to refresh some basics) and scored the Odette strappy sandals in black suede for $19.

  13. OT, wanted to post here as I ordered some Lele Sadoughi masks from masks. Don’t buy, my friend received them in Sunday via shop runner which was very quick but the masks themselves are awful. Flimsy and no wire and cut very small. Package was heat sealed and she didn’t open them so she’s going to try to return them to Saks. What a disappointment. Was looking to pair them with our Jcrew outfits.

    1. I couldn’t decide which I wanted, so have yet to order. Thank you very much for taking the time to post an update!

    2. Yes, thanks for the update. The wire is important to get a decent fit across the nose and cheeks.

As long as I am still working at home I am good with my paper children's size masks - those of us with narrow faces are lost in the full size .

  14. Update to the masks, these are listed as Final Sale as all masks are wherever they’re sold. As they don’t fit properly and are very small I’m just going to file a dispute through AMEX. The embellishments were so tiny. $80.00 down the drain. Nordstrom is making masks in-store and will monogram them. $10.00 + 8.00 if you want to monogram. You can also bring your own fabric into the store and have it custom made for $10.00. They do put wiring in and the fabrics they’re using are very lightweight with a filter slot.

  15. Friend returned the masks to Saks without any problems. Whew. SA commented how tiny they were and thought they were children’s masks.
