Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Has anyone here looked at Nordstrom's own label, 1901? I came across a couple of things while browsing, and what I saw reminded me of J.Crew. Take a look, and let me know what you think. I wonder if the quality is good.

  2. I've bought a couple of skirts from the 1901 label, liked them, fairly well made, lined (but poly/cotton blends with poly lining). The few things I've tried have run big, could have gone down a size for sure. They are definitely going after some JC customers with that line.

  3. I received some of the items from the 72% sale. Cashmere throws (grey stripe), but not in the color I ordered (brown stripe). Even though the color does not work well for the room I'm keeping these as they are very nice.

Cashmere boyfriend turtleneck in charcoal grey. The only size was M so I went with it. I've found I need to size up in most cashmere sweaters anyway, so this is good. The body is a bit loose, but not ridiculous. The arm length is perfect, so S probably would have been too short. The body length is short, but I knew that from reviews. The quality is surprisingly nice on this sweater - for $21 I would not complain anyway.

Men's s/s liberty button up. As always the fabric is lovely, the trick is getting the hubs used to floral shirts. It's a tiny print, so I think he'll do ok. He does appreciate the fine cotton.

Thank you's from all I sent the sequin sleeveless top in watermelon stripe. It's a fun item, I sent everyone their smaller size.
