Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Has anyone tied the tie-back top in ditsy eyelet AL603? I am always looking for white and need a filler item but not sure if it runs wide, and how pronounced the puff sleeve is.

  3. One of my sale items from last week was a popback of a collection tuxedo blazer, AF614. Only size 4 was available so I jumped on it as my smaller blazers are snug in the shoulders.
This version is long, basically just below my butt which is long when you have a long torso. I could really get the waist taken in but if I wear it open with a colored shirt tucked into high waisted black satin pants I think it works ok as a take on a tuxedo.

    1. Of course i can also dress it down and my favorite way is with super distressed old baggy jeans and festive shoes.

    2. Sure this will be a good look for you. I have a collection velvet blazer that runs long, I like it over a short sweater dress as well as with pants.

    3. I almost didn’t get it because I have quite a few other black blazers but I realized it was a little longer and with the satin lapel figured it was different enough. I sold the parke blazer in tartan which had the satin lapel and the black is a better option for me.
I have to say the interior details are lovely. Navy lining and red trim on the interior “lipstick” pocket. Mine did come wrinkly but No big deal, it was on a hanger and in plastic.

    4. I look forward to actually getting dressed, maybe in 2021. 😭

    5. I have a garment steamer that solve wrinkles in a minute. Great for wool, silk, velvet.

I've been dressing up to work at home, well, except last week when we lost the air conditioning. But the power was restored just an hour or so ago. Hurrah!

    6. I have several steamers. As a matter of fact today I went through my white blouses/shirts, washed, dried and steamed. Have some soaking in oxiclean to brighten them. I haven’t even worn some but they get dingy from sitting in the closet I guess.

    7. @SuzHas, that’s a great idea! I’ve noticed that some of my older white clothes look a bit dingy in my closet, haven’t worn some in a while. I should get on that.

    8. It worked well. Now I know I have decent white shirts ready whenever I decide to get dressed again!

    9. My old white shirt dress with the anchor towards the bottom from years ago looks dingy but I was worried to try anything in case I fade the anchor.
Smart to have your shirts ready, that’s often what stops me from throwing one on.

Forgot to mention that your tuxedo blazer sounds like a great piece, I cannot wait until we can return to festivities.

    10. Jan, try soaking in a little oxiclean. I have not used bleach in years for the most part. A long soak with this seems to help.

    11. Re having clothes ready, yeah it was a good little project for a Sunday.
That’s how I feel about dressy clothes too, I like having them on hand so I don’t scramble when we have some place to go.
