Hello! I am hoping someone here in this community can help me even though I'm searching for a Madewell item, not J.Crew. I'm hoping to find the Ottoman Jacquard V-neck Setlist Boxy Top in Tie-Dye. The item number is AN471. Online it is sold out and I'm wondering if that means it's truly out of stock or if it is possibly in some stores. I'm keeping an eye out for popbacks but anyone that can give me ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI’ve called or visited a MADEWELL store and found sold out items. There are often popbacks. Keep checking, call/DM/email CS and check in if you have a local store that’s open.
DeleteAgreed. Call or email CS. When it says sold out online, it means warehouse inventory is low enough that they can't guarantee everyone who wants the item online can get it. But there could still be inventory in stores or even in the warehouse but just not enough to make that threshold. (this is what I was told by an SA once when I was tracking down a sold out item)
DeleteI visited the Richmond, VA store today, which is two hours from where I live and the closest J.Crew store. I made some returns, which is so wonderful compared to returning by mail and then babysitting the entire process. There were just two SA's and a few people shopping. The precautions were in place, and no one could use the fitting rooms. The sale section was 60% off, and all sales were final. Every full priced item (except cashmere) was 40% off. Of course, the stores don't have everything that is online. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.
