J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. Styling the Italian tweed Daphne coat, frayed hem jeans, and turtleneck cashmere sweater on the blog today. Sizing of the coat runs a little large. I'm wearing a size 4. Definitely size down in the jeans. I'm wearing a size 26 from my usual 27 for reference.

    1. Cute look! You're ready for the holidays and agree that coat is lovely. I bought it last year and have worn it a lot.

    2. Thank you so much! Yes, my coat is from last year as well. I was able to snag it for like $40 in March at the store well after it sold out everywhere.

  2. I missed the liberty reversible puffer last week when it was 40 off with flash sale. I saw it in store and really like it.... hoping for better discount....
    May ask CS to see if they will match....

    1. The store I work at will always match online as a rule.

  3. I remain steadfast in my policy of avoiding sale section buys without additional % off. The new approach is making it harder, but I'm stubborn :-)

    1. I am waiting it out as well. almost 30 pages everyday.

    2. In other news, I'm wearing all J.Crew today. My olive green Ryder pants didn't stretch out like my navy blue ones, and they look great with an ancient pair of heels I think were maybe called the Serengeti heel. Up top I'm rocking the denim kimono looking thing you can still find in the sale section, only I paid about $20 for mine, and it's clear up to like $90 lately inexplicably.

    3. I don’t quite understand it either. Last winter’s items are still lingering at prices higher than what we paid last year.

    4. heh heh so is an ancient datebook.

    5. I saw that datebook, WFF! So ridiculous.

      Shopping Celle-- I've been sorting by recently reduced, so the oldest junk tends to be toward the end of the pages of results. Pretty amazing what they seem to think is reasonable for items that are years old and weren't popular at the time.

    6. Sale pricing is ridiculous. I reordered a smaller size in a rain jacket that I got a couple weeks ago. Then it was $72; now it’s $142 $&@/? Hopefully they’ll price match (should hear back in a few days).

    7. I've been searching by discount and won't look at anything less than 40% off original price. Nothing new really interests me, aside from two sweaters which are either unavailable in my size or not eligible for promo, so forget it. I'm not spending $150 on a sweater.
