Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  2. The Final Sale banner on the web site is gone. Look carefully to see if what you are buying is Final Sale. It looks like most things are Final Sale, in spite of the banner saying "Summer Sale" instead.

  3. OT: Just a reminder for those who shop Madewell...today is the last day to take an extra 30% off final sale & promo-priced items with the HAPPY4TH code. The updated promo-priced items list is here on my blog.

  4. I have an OT question for NYC ladies. Is the Madison/66th St store no longer a wedding store? I was looking at the store locator (I need to hunt down a bridesmaid dress for some upcoming nuptials) and that location is now listed as a Collection store. But I thought 79th/Madison was the Collection store. I'm a little confused.

    2. Thanks Gigi. :) I may end up heading up there to check it out, just trying to save the trip if it's not going to be worth it -- I live way downtown!

    3. hi, they're both collection stores now. But the 66th street store does have some interesting formal/evening wear, so might be worth checking out.

    4. Thanks so much wellfedfred! I will stop in next time I'm uptown for sure, I just don't venture to the UES as often anymore. I feel like I'm rarely above 14th St these days. :)

  8. I recently purchased the polka dot popover in both colorways from the J. Crew Factory. For me (probably because I am busty), it was a very nice fit, not blocky at all. Here's one way I wore it: Polka Dot Popover

  9. I visited my credit card account online and found out that a rewards card was mailed out on July 3! Apparently they arrive in 4-6 weeks. Just in time for fall.

  10. I found a red monarch scarf languishing in the sale section. It was ticketed at $29.99, so $18 after discount.

  11. I finally bought the Baja embroidered top in the light blue color. It was $35.99 after the 40% off, so not fabulously priced but not too bad. I bought two pairs of cafe capris, the natural color was $17.99 and the green color was $20.99. I'm going to need help styling these green ones!

I also bought the Brompton Straw Mini Hobo purse. It was $198 originally, it is $169.99 online, and was $129.99 in the store -$52 bringing it down to $77.99 in the store. How can there be such a huge price discrepancy? It costs more than twice as much online. The purse was in perfect condition, too. It had all the plastic on everything, looked like it just came out of the packing box.

The sale section was really packed and all marked 40% off (final sale).

  14. TUESDAY brings 40% off getaway things ... mostly knit dresses, shorts, swim pieces, flip flops.

  15. Montgomery Mall(Bethesda) has plenty of the seahorse print shirts in the sale section. Also a few vert. stripe shirts, school boy blazers (mostly small sizes but one 12) and quite a few jewelry pieces, shoes and med. biennial bags. Score for me as I found my luggage tags and passport holder :>) I'm holding out for the Nordy's sale but hopefully everyone else will find their last-of-the-season deals...even at final sale!
ps- VS has left over sale bras @ $19....score #2!

  16. Anyone know if the 40% off is still going on in stores? I missed it this weekend!

  17. The SA at the El Segundo store told me that the email they got on Monday morning said that the 40% will go on until further notice. It can be that they stopped it today but he thought that it might run the week since they are doing inventory on Sunday. Hope that helps.
