Crewcuts Email: crewcuts new arrivals are here. plus, free shipping.

"Thanks!" to Marietta, who shared the latest Crewcuts email with us. The email let's us know that new arrivals for Crewcuts are available online (click here).

The latest arrivals for Crewcuts are adorable. However it seems like the over-the-top styling of the Women's section is starting to slowly make its way to the Crewcuts line. ;)

Lastly, the email reminds us that shoppers can get free shipping on any Crewcuts order. Dear J.Crew, how about a free shipping offer for the adults? We would be very grateful! :)

What are your thoughts on the latest arrivals for Crewcuts? Do you like the style of the new Crewcuts?

  1. I too think a lot of crewcuts styling has been from women's line - lots of ruffles, layering, etc.

I like some of the latest arrivals but I only get crewcuts for my DD only when they are reasonably marked down. Ballet flats (though they are cute) are still expensive considering they are uncomfortable and she will grow out of it in few months.

  2. Crewcuts is an odd sort of bird.

I'm amused by the hipster glasses on the girl. Her pigeon-toed stance makes me wonder if J. Crew browses The Sartorialist, since many of the young women he photographs adopt that pose.

I will say though, that the Crewcuts stylists do an awesome job with color.

  3. Maybe it's because I have a boy, but I think the Crewcuts stuff is unremarkable. I never feel like anything they have is special or unique--again, especially for the boys. There's some cute stuff, but I could find comparable graphic tees and sweats at ON or Macy's for less. MiniBoden has more colorful, fun, and original pieces, imo.

  4. I rarely like the crewcuts stuff. I feel it is to old looking. I like me kids to look like kids. It's also to expensive for the playground. My oldest son likes the tees because they are soft but I only buy them on clearance. I do buy their flip flops because the kids (I have 3) love the patterns.

  5. I loved the Crewcuts line when it first came out. Bought a ton of it the first couple of years. Now, in the last 1 1/2 years I rarely buy anything. It is just not the same as when it first came out...the styling has really changed.

  6. I LOVE the crewcuts line-- and the girl this particular ad has the most AMAZING head of hair that I have ever seen on any young model. I have no children, but I am convinced that when I do, they will always be outfitted in crewcuts :)

  7. My son was always a year too old for Crewcuts. When it first came out, they started with the smallest sizes. By the time they went to larger sizes, he was just slightly too tall for them. Now that he's in sixth grade, the styles are not what he wants. He has moved to A&F sadly because that's what the other kids wear. I will say A&F t-shirts are extremely soft.

  8. I love the girl's hair, too, Margaux! She's a cutie. I wasn't bowled over by most of the new arrival section, but the Treasure Chest cardi would be cute for a quarter of the price. I like their swimwear in general, the quality is always there, but they need to rethink how low they make the rise on the suits for little kids. My daughter doesn't need any more reason to do the pants off dance off, thank you very much!

  9. I love crewcuts for my 3 yr old son. He looks adorable in the chinos and polos! BUT I only buy CC when it is on sale with an extra % off. Like others have said, at full price its a bit pricey when he is only going to wear it a few months. So far I have been impressed with the quality.

  10. I do actually purchase a lot of Crewcuts for my 3 yr old son. I'm not into all the monster truck, sports, superhero stuff that's on most typical little boy clothes, so I really like Crewcuts understated preppy style. That said, I would never, ever pay full price. (I cannot justify paying more than 15$ for anything that my son will stain, rip and grow out of in less than 6 months.)I always wait until it goes on clearance, usually with an additional % off. And since J Crew switched to free shipping on crewcuts with no minimum, I find myself placing a lot more orders. Hopefully that continues!

  11. I started buyng Crewcuts when my older daughter started 1st grade. Before that, I used to buy French clothes like Catimini, etc. When she started having recess outside, her clothes got trashed every day. Besides, she wanted to wear jeans and tees like her friends.
The reason I like Crewcuts ALOT now is those little detais like ruffles, and embelishments that are not like Gymboree and more like European clothes. abercrombie is OK but their clothes are extremely long ans slim.

I never pay full price because the quality is not there. Tees are too thin.

This rollout, Crewcuts started making size 14(I sometimes steal from my daughters closet(sz10-12)) so I ordered a couple to see if they fit me well.

  12. I totally place multiple small orders when CC updates during the % off sales, love the free ship. I snap up whatever larger sizes come up in nice or basic colors of the girls' city tees. They wear so well, they are practically indestructible. I got several for eight bucks apiece last week, which is comparable to or cheaper than basics from babyGap, Target, or wherever. I can't fathom buying the CC stuff at full price, but I sure have made out like a bandit on the sale stuff! I don't like cutesy kid stuff like over appliqued Gymboree offerings, or trademarked character products so I've been really happy to find things for my daughter that I often wouldn't mind wearing myself.

  13. I *LOVE* the style of the girl's clothes but the tees are SO THIN! Talk about over-priced...they feel nice and soft but my daughter has no interest in wearing a tank under her tees in order to feel "comfortable."

    Boden quality is outstanding..love it!!

  14. I'll chime in too here.

My DD loves CC but we only buy on sale now. At first I would spring for the full-priced tees but now they are like freakin tissue paper and the embellishments either start holes or just fall off -- harumphhh. I take those back to the B&M with no problem, the SA's always say I'm not the only one returning crappy tees! I like the classic preppy boys stuff, it's much better quality IMO.

The new rollout has nothing too exciting and we are set for winter, so just awaiting spring now.

Cheesy, I definitely need to try the city tees.

  15. I dunno about the clothes this rollout but those little models are *so* cute.
