Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available in the Spring sale, or to see some new Summer arrivals {wahoo!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  2. I did try on the Jakarta cardigan and it fits pretty TTS and maybe even a bit on the big side. I liked it, but have a few too many cardigans right now... I believe it was $88.00

  3. Yes, the jakarta cardi is $88. Not sure on sizing, but I think it's TTS as Twiga says.

Again -- SF has shipped their sale to the online stock. Not sure how long it takes to arrive and get processed/put in the system there. I wonder, though, if they have new markdowns or are going without. The other day the SA said they had no sale.

  8. ooh, looks like not only new stuff has arrived, but they've updated the interface of the website! the individual product pages, shopping cart link, etc. are different -- more streamlined.

hrm, sale also refreshed...want to buy several things, but i can't quite bring myself to do it without a free shipping code!

  9. Good Morning! Like silver_lining and goldenmeans said before, the New Arrivals and July catalog are online now. :) Does anyone happen to have a Free Shipping code?

  10. Lots of tee updates today
I wish there was a free shipping code
Among the new arrivals online the Embroidered linen shift dress looks cute

  11. Good sale update today. I placed an order, even though that shipping fee stung a bit. I hope the Dressy jersey strapless dress is as good as everyone says. It is now marked down to 29.99.

  12. We are going to NYC this weekend and my husband (shock!) said I can go to one of the J. Crew stores there...I don't know if he will give me carte blanche to spend but I can at least go and look around!

My question is--which of the NYC stores should I visit? I am leaning towards the Collection store just 'cause it is the only one of its kind, but if you all don't think it is worth it, then I will happily head to one of the other stores!!!

    Thanks for all your help!

  13. Happy life: I bought the Jakarta cardigan and it runs TTS. Price was $88 + tax. I love the cardigan...it's very light weight.

  16. I'm going tomorrow to the Westfarms Mall location (Connecticut). I have no strategy and only a few things in mind but am excited since I so rarely get to stop by a JC B&M!

  17. Has anyone seen the Cashmere Professor Cardigan (#11448) in a size small in the Glazed Pecan color? It has disappeared from my cart over the course of the last week, and I really want to order it. Thanks so much.

  18. Dina - in addition to the Collection store, I would also stop by the Prince Street one, since it has the new accessories "store" attached to it... also, if you will be around Rockefellar Center, that one is pretty big.... have a great time in NYC! I will be around the Roc Center area tomorrow, if you would like to meet up.... :-) Although, it's supposed to be raining mad tomorrow.

  19. Dina - if you would like to meet up, you can contact me at LilPeanutMC@gmail.com. I also live near the Collection store, so I'm flexible.

  21. Emeryville Ca store has a bunch of gold/natural Holly jackets. 0,2s,4s,8s. On sale for 99. Also 1 Watercolor floral pencil skirt in a size 2 on sale for 69. They had a ton of the shawl collar silk linen cardigans (with the pretty buttons). Lots of sale skirts from the previous roll out, but not a lot of new stuff.

  22. I paid a super-quick visit to my local b&m in Towson, MD tonight. The sale items I was on the look out for were there and priced the same as what I ordered this a.m. from on-line so I was not disappointed w/myself for giving in to the free shipping today.

The sale section was full of lightweight sweaters and tee's that I didn't investigate.

Georgia cardigans were there but not in a huge variety of colors, and I didn't check the price.

The mica mini's were down to $39.99and plenty in stock.

The rip-stop cargo's (utility pants) were down to $29.99 and the Monterey skirt was down to $39.99.

I just didn't flip-out for the Jakarta print items irl like I did when I saw the blog pic.'s.

Hoping to pay a longer visit to the b&m later this week. Have a nice evening!

  24. Hi everyone! If anyone sees a bubble tissue tank in slate, XS, please let me know. I know they are super cheap in the store, plus my size is not available online in that color.

Thank you all! And have fun shopping this weekend. I know I will be due to more rain here on the east coast!

  25. Was at the cambridge, MA store yesterday--

Nothing esp new-- the sale section was full of the same things as early this week. A few new items, but not many: 1 left of the polka dot dress, some navy printed shorts, a few new cardis. Perhaps the new stuff sold out earlier this week?

Also, has anyone seen the Crocodillo pencil skirt in any of the Boston area stores?

I'll probably be stopping by the Natick store today and will report back!

    : )

  26. Kendra:
Did you see any Holly Linen Jackets in a small size at Cambridge?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Susan: I dont remember seeing any, but I wasn't looking for them.

I went to the Natick store earlier today..bigger sale section than Cambridge, some espadrilles and a canvas tote or two..

A lot more stuff, but still--everything was mostly neutrals!! I am finally sick of the lack of color (as other JCA's have mentioned). I also took my first trip into Martin and Osa's B&M and was *super* impressed! The SA's were great (but not pushy) and the dressing rooms were very nice. Also, COLOR!!! And lots of it! They have great quality items at a good price---and online they have tons of discounts. I returned a dress I got to try in 2 sizes, and got a pair of comfy chinos on sale for ~ $35. I highly recommend!

  28. I checked out the "new" Soho store earlier today. As other mentionned, much more airy now that the men's dep is gone. The new accessories dept. is nice (but not worth the trip as they have the same stuff than everywhere else). I wanted to mention that the Greer sandals are marked down to $89.99! I had to refrain myself from buying two pairs! The sale section is downstairs, is not big but they have some gems (like the watercolor skirt, at$69.99 if I'm not wrong, and the Playa dress).

  29. I went to the Collection store tonight, and I met Dina (with her beautiful daughter CW)! We shopped, of course, and I picked up the Jarkata cardigan and mini skirt, and the Silk indigo floral blouse (I sized down on this top). Best of all I had a great time chatting with Dina, and CW was happy and content watching us. I met her husband and adorable son Rex as we were leaving. I'll be in the DC area at some point during the summer, and I definitely plan on meeting up with her! :-)

  31. Strapless eyelet dress (item #13660, retail only) was $79.99 at my local store. The original retail was $128. I don’t remember sizes but two or three dresses were available in both white and gray.

  32. I won't be visiting Jcrew this weekend, but maybe next weekend. I want to see the new stuff in person, and have a few ill-fitting online items to return.

Rae, you asked a long time ago about the seafront linen cardigan in the dark mushroom. I just got my online order, and it wasn't even close to the dark brown online. It was a golden linen sort of color, like a goldish beige--Makes my tan skin look just awful. I don't think the dark brown exists now. Boo~

  33. It looks like the B&M sale prices seem to be better than what is actually online--I got the jersey twist strap dress for $19.99 (still 69.99 online)and also the Lightweight gauze ruffle cover-up dress for $19.99 (still 24.99 online). I also got the cotton slub silk lattice dress in citron for 69.99 (99.99 online). This is of course great for the stores, brings traffic in and most likely customers will end up buying other things as well--like I did. I couldnt pass up the jakarta cardigan...there was only one left and it was my size so I snatched that up as well. With all the sale items, my total was actually not too bad. I also bought an umbrella that was on sale that was the same print as the floral skirt.

  35. Ladies - I went to the Westport, CT J Crew on Saturday, and to my surprise and total dissapointment, they had no sale section! They did have a few sale items throughout the store, but they had PACKED up their entire sale section and sent it off!

Did anyone else run into this problem at other stores? I was bummed because I was looking for a few things that had gone on sale online, but they only had the new stuff!
