"Looking to VENT" with J.Crew

This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including poor experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. Sale is now 50% online with code WEEKEND. Why not just match the 60% in store especially when they ship items from the store anyway? I only have one items in my cart that is not coming up final sale but I noticed yesterday some items are final sale. I believe in store 60% is FS. I have the slim wide leg paper bag jeans in my cart to try, we'll see if I "need" anything else.

    1. Oh I’ll have to look at those. Agreed and my store has nothing I want!

  2. I grabbed a cashmere sweater for cheap. They don't have it in store. But still no reviews or wishlist available. Whoever they use for website "upgrades" should be fired.

    1. I have 15 items in my shopping bag. Most are from the sale section but not all. If only we were included into the promo....

  4. You know things are bad when there are 2000+ items in the extra 50% off sale and still nothing to buy..

    1. I kept looking to try to find something because 50% off and not final sale, are my favorite shopping times but I can't find anything. Is there a new roll out due anytime soon?

    2. It is nice to see the leather leggings and (some) jackets at 50% off. Maybe they really are trying to get rid of the winter items.

  5. Prices on many items went up on Monday by as much as 50%. So, now even with additional 50% off, the final price is higher than it was during the weekend with 30% off. Also, by knowing that prices were super low in stores and remained high (or went up) on the website makes this promo considerably less exciting. Unless JCrew drops prices, I am sitting this one out.

    1. Agreed, some items doubled in price! I'd sent a few items to my step-daughter for a Valentine gift and they both cost more today.

    2. Prices on many things are much cheaper in the store, so the website sale isn't as tempting.

    3. Agreed, I bought more at store this season then online. Prices are better, less returns, less Trips to store.

  6. The sale section at Copley, in Boston, is packed and the prices are cheaper than online, plus an additional 60% off. Definitely worth a stop in if you're in the area.
