    1. Probably due to the 50% off flash sale that is going on right now. Saw some good deals - this is for 5 hours only.

  3. I stopped by Brookfield for a return and saw a lot of the new rollout, including the new Liberty Margaret Annie print. The sleeveless dress is very cute in person, and looked well made. I didn't see the slingbacks, which I liked online. Saw the peekaboo pleated skirt in pink - looked a little cheap. Cotton crepe cardigan looks like a TINY cropped fit. The limited-edition ribbed Tippi with the embellished collar is so weird. The collar is extremely heavy, and the Tippi material is very light. Even though it's navy, I'm sure it's semi-sheer. It just looks like such a weird weight dichotomy, and the Tippi material is so light that it looks like the collar could get caught on it and wear it, or it can stretch easily after wear. The gingham Jackie with ruffle is cute, looked like a smaller fit than usual Jackie fit. The Hayden kickout crop pant in plaid is very cute in person - caught my eye. Sheath dress in gingham tweed is also very sweet for spring. The whole store was generally very bright and cheery thanks to the new arrivals. I asked an SA if this was all Chris Benz's first collection because I noticed it felt different from the past few seasons, and honestly, she:
    1. looked at me like as if she had no idea who Chris Benz was
    2. then proceeded to point out all the stuff in the store that was leftover from the last season, such as all the leopard print
    3. Pointed out the cashmere, and said "we always have that."

I'm no marketing expert, but if the business you're working for has been failing due to a perceived lack of change, then maybe don't tell your customers all about how much of the old stuff is left/unchanged?

I miss the employees at Brookfield when it was a concept store and everyone was super into the brand and knew all about it. I really feel that SAs represent the brand, and in NYC I rarely have to deal with a clueless JC SA, but man this one...

    1. I had a feeling the cotton crepe cardigan was going to be way short. No new Jackie colors in this rollout. I hope they aren't discontinuing the Jackie as it is my go-to cardigan all spring, summer & fall.

  4. I received a vneck perfect t from the last 50% off sale on sale. I chose the bright berry pink color. As with all perfect t's it is a really nice shirt. I sized up (as usual) to a M, and that was a good call. The v is as in the photos, fairly low but not at all revealing.

    1. Pbanos, we must be fashion spirit twins as I snagged that too. My sentiments are the same.

I have a few items coming including a pleated tank in the same color (hot pink-ish). I also but today on the drapey band popover from the new arrivals. I also ordered another of the cotton striped tunics. No, they’re not like a few years back where the cotton was a looser, more giving weave but I like the fact that they are 100% cotton and the pink color ways were a good way to expand and freshen it up in my opinion.

Does any one have the cloud fleece joggers or sweatshirt? I ordered a set over the weekend sale and am wondering ab fit considering the sweatshirt had no reviews at all.

  5. I ordered the pajama joggers in waffle cotton on sale. Not sure why they don’t make these in every color. Theyre lightweight but soft and cozy, like the thermal underwear we wore back in the day. Comfortable for lounging and sleeping, but you could wear them out. The jogger style is cute. I do find they run large. I got an XS and they’re loose but I prefer that over them being tighter.

  6. I can’t tell if this is a LOVE or a VENT: I got the faux leather pleated midi skirt (in ruby red, it’s a gorgeous burgundy). It arrived in a blue JC bag... in a plastic bag that someone painstakingly lined with bubble wrap.. and then the skirt itself was wrapped in tissue paper. This was by far the most protected thing I’ve ever received from JC. But yet it arrived in a blue mailer bag rather than a box. Weird. Also not sure what it says about how delicate the skirt is if it requires this much protection just to be mailed. They really took pains to make sure it doesn’t crease.
