Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

    1. Good luck, I hope you find it. I've gotten a ton of use out of mine.

  3. Hi JCAs,

Did any of you recently purchase the
    Women's Sperry® for J.Crew Shearwater flannel boots
    item E2599
by chance? I think someone might have mentioned ordering it recently and if so, I was hoping to find out what size you went with? I'm normally a 6.5 (though I often go smaller with JC shoes for whatever reason.) I sized up as advised by the Fit chart for these boots, but I think they're too big (even with thicker socks.)

When I press down on the front of the toe area, I have a good half-thumb, if not more, of space. I don't even have to use the zipper, can slip shoes on & off. They feel like boats and I'm worried that I might find myself tripping over them if they're slightly big.

Just wondering if anyone had thoughts/tips. TIA! (I'm going to order a size down, before returning one of them, but was hoping for some feedback in meantime.) Thanks!

  4. I visited and bought a couple of things. One thing that I thought I would love is the PJ top with tipping. I did not like the fit at all. It ran small to me, short in the arms, tight in the shoulders and too much of a slim fit for me. I took it back. I did pick up the London tee, the pink elephant tee and the navy/camel striped turtleneck. I wish the button up shirt had fit more like I wanted.

  5. I ordered the sperry boots and am essentially in the same situation. I'm a true 7.5. I sized up to an 8, and I think they're too big. I think if I lived in a cold climate that they'd fit right with thick thermal socks.....but I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area and only visit the snow 1x a year. I really just wanted to use them as rain boots. It just doesn't get that cold here!
So they are sitting in the box on my dining room table as I debate what to do. I could reorder in a size down, but am also debating whether a pair with some brown leather in the color scheme would go with more of my wardrobe.

    1. @The Dish, thanks for sharing your thoughts! Glad it's not just me -- they seem to run big when you go up a size. I'm going to try them with a thicker pair of socks and see what does. I do like the contrast of the bright laces with the dark gray - fun!

  6. Looking for stadium cloth cocoon coat size 0—in "heather graphite" only. It's a darker grey than the current "heather dusk". Thanks!
