one more sleep until the next roll out. SA told me (but I find it hard to believe...because J Crew really has pulled back on sales...just look at the sale page ...no big updates anymore ) that 40% PRE BLACK FRIDAY ...will start tommorow.

DeleteI went to the cardmember event yesterday at my local store (CambridgeSide Galleria in Cambridge, MA). I went in around 10:30 and it wasn't too busy. I was looking for three things, two of which they didn't have in my size in store, so the manager ordered them for me online. All 40% off. I got the wolfstooth flounce dress (f8207) and pants (f8442) and the Sadie ankle-strap flats in velvet (f8469). All for a wedding weekend I have coming up in December so I'm pretty excited. The associates and manger were all bright eyed and friendly. This is the first cardmember event I've attended and it was worth it for me since I was able to get what I'd been looking for. I didn't have to ask for the free tote, as the one thing I bought in-store was wrapped and put into the tote to take home.

ReplyDeleteJust received the Collection Rhodes Topcoat in Scottish Tweed. It is amazing, beautiful and I'm wearing it right now as I type. I paid full price for this puppy and I do that never but it's an investment coat I could see Lauren Hutton and Maggie Smith wearing.

DeleteI would say slightly, yes. But the shoulders fit very well so rather than going to a smaller size, I would sooner have it taken in slightly at the sides if I did anything at all.

DeleteI went to Derby Shoppes on Sunday and got 40% off everything. Two handbags for me :) And they were giving free totes :)
ReplyDeleteOnly CON was that sale was 40% and they didn't add any additional discount. So buying sales yesterday wasn't worth it.
There were cookies, scones and coffee, uhmmmmmmmmmm
I stopped off this afternoon. I think that fit and flare plaid skirt is adorable but a once a year wear for me so I wouldn't get it. The only thing I tried on was the regent topcoat which felt a little skimpy to me, like I would need a tall. The sleeves and length felt short. I was wearing my lady day coat and it made me appreciate that style so much more, so now I'll be looking to add another color to my collection.

ReplyDeleteI sent a thank you to the VPS who sent me the email to the breakfast event...yes goodies were delicious!. I asked if Canada just didn`t get the tote bags (free gift) and do we have those bounce back cards I have heard about from US customers ....I know just a tote bag...but ..yes...they didn`t arrive in time. . she had my address and is sending me one along with a bounce back card. Hey...I just wanted to thank her but I end up getting a bounce back card!. She said they are just getting used to handing them out...so they are available...C from V
