  1. Here's the question everyone wants to ask, when's the promo coming!!

  2. A few of my favs: Ruffle Top, all three iterations.
Paris tee, Sleeveless Tunic (wish JC would offer more sweaters in cotton), Garment-dyed skirt, Going Places dress, All Day tote and several of the shoes.

    2. That ruffle too is cute. I like it in stripe. I also am liking the tunic; but not sure how the length would work on my short self.

  3. My kids call my sister "Aunt Bee" (her name is Braedon) so I immediately sent her the bee Tippi yesterday via text. She loved it but would never splurge on a sweater for herself; maybe I'll get it & gift it to her for Christmas this year. (And one for me, too.)

    1. ...also, am I the only one not fond of the cropped flare silhouette? I know all retailers are putting out loads of pants in that style right now but I hate it on me. I hate the new chino but I love the colors! I miss the Andie, sniff-sniff.

    2. I miss the Andie too! My all time favorite of their chinos

    3. Absolutely agree about the cropped flare, don't like the silhouette, but love, love the colors! I wish they'd bring back the Andie. These were my absolute favorite chinos.
I think that's a very nice idea, gifting your sister with the bee Tippi, @Taylor (and one for you:)).

    4. I do like the cropped flare, I feel like it adds some balance to my pear-shaped figure. Narrow styles at the ankle can make me look a bit ice-cream cone shaped, if you know what I mean.

    5. Yea, I'm a pear shape, too, but the cropped flares look odd on me. Not sure why. Maybe it's the length, I can't get it right.

    6. The Andies are my favorite too but I'm going to give the Sammies a try. It looks like they might be a chino version of the Teddies, which aren't my favorite but are ok on me. I really like the colors.

  5. I like the deep chocolate Teddie pant even though I have to wonder and hope that we will see longer lengths for autumn. I like some of the new colors of the Ballet Tee, especially peach and pale saffron. The ruffle tops are nice but I hope they won't go crazy with ruffles. The Tippi with ruffles strikes me as a bad idea. I also like the Oval Barrette.

    1. Looks like maybe ruffles are coming back? If so, I'm so glad I didn't sell all of my ruffled tops from ye olde J Crew. Couldn't bear to get rid of some of the gorgeous silk patterned pieces so they are packed away. ;)

  6. There are some great new offerings for us guys, Bowery slims with stretch, slim but mini buffalo plaids and other plaids, but no discount code for new stuff.

I'm going to do my best and stay strong waiting for a deal on them. And I'll be at a store in August. Maybe the promo gods will smile on me and help a guy out.

    2. @Ina, the sammies look great on you, not sure they'll work on me but might try. The shoes are beautiful, love the Avery but not the price. :) I'm interested in trying the ruffle top, Rome tee, Sadie flats and the Avery heel. So happy to see your reviews for them they all look nice on you!

    5. Thanks for the reviews! You make J. Crew's clothes look great. More often than not, I'm not interested in something until you post a try-on picture and I see how good it looks.

    6. Agreed, those Sammies look great on you!

    7. @Ina, would you get the Sammies in regular or petite? We're about the same height, I'm 5'3", and I'm trying to decide which length would be better. Thanks!

    8. @maryeb, not sure if this info will help, but I'm 4'11 and I tried on the Sammies in the store today (regular size). I was wondering the same thing as you, but I think that if I were to buy them, I'd order the Regular version rather than the Petite b/c I'm not crazy about cropped lengths on me. The Regular length was a good fit, length-wise for me, ending at the foot, rather than above the ankle.

    9. Thanks, @TM93! That is helpful.

Seems like the regular length will probably look awkward on me, not long enough to look like full length pants and not short enough to make a nice cropped look.

  8. Does anyone know why they took the tropical floral cami off the website. I had it in my basket Monday night and all sizes were available. I went to check out later that night and it wasn't in my basket and no where to be found on website.

  9. I ordered the CAP-SLEEVE DRESS IN SHIRTING STRIPE, I really love it, and it looks like thin/crisp cotton, which is good for the 100 freaking degrees we'll be having for the next ... two months, and it has pockets! Love a dress with pockets. It looks perfect, but, I'm hoping it will be flattering on (elastic waist doesn't usually work for me). I also ordered the COCKTAIL SHIRT, we'll see how it looks in person.

    1. I tried the shirting dress in store yesterday and the material is perfect for that hot weather. I thought I would fit a regular 4, which I have consistently in the past, and found it runs a tad big; a 2 would have fit me, long in length but perfect on the bust area. For reference I'm a 36B, 26 in pants, and 4'11. I actually plan on buying the petite 4 online.

It makes me wonder why JCrew didn't release this dress during spring??

  10. Am I the only one turned off by the "low price" messaging in the August 16 Style Guide and online? Just $89.50" "Starting at $59.50" "Exhibit B: These awesome prices""And only $79.50" JC must be hurting to implement such an overt low-price message. Do. Not. Like. It cheapens the brand. Just sayin'.
