  1. Hooray! I was waiting for 50% off. I also noticed a few summery tops and dresses got marked down even more. There were some good deals on some more expensive collection items too. I bought the embroidered summer tank and the button front denim dress. I just wish it wasn't final sale, as fit can be a gamble sometimes

  2. Too many goodies this morning. I called CS to add an item to my order (well within the change order time) so that I would not have to pay additional shipping just to add one top to the order. They couldn't add it, so I had to place a new order, which is fine, but CS gave me such a hard time about waiving the shipping. I'm thrilled they did waive it, but it was in the time frame that I could have easily cancelled the whole order and reorder with the new item. Why make your customers feel bad for buying more from you JCREW?

    1. Just to add, another CS rep. was fantastic in making a price adjustments, very accommodating and courteous. This is more of what I like to see.

    2. That's rather ridiculous of them not to be willing to waive shipping for the second order! I wonder if you had the misfortune of getting some newbie, because I've never had that issue. Just like week, I did that twice -- too late to change or cancel order so they just waived the shipping on order placed the same day. (This was also for sale stuff, not full-price items.) Humph! Glad the second rep was more accommodating and that they eventually came around with the shipping issue, but the inconsistencies are certainly frustrating.

  3. Garden State Plaza store has a large selection of shoes clothing a is basically long sleeve T's, sad looking they should and some shirts that have been around since last winter. if you want shoes it's worth the trip.

  4. There was a small update around midnight and then a big one this morning. I picked up another pair of D'Orsays (I got onto the bandwagon late on these) and a clutch. I'm on the hunt for some specific pieces :-)

  6. I thought they used to have free shipping on all swim? I wanted one measly swim bottom that popped back in my size and had to pay shipping for it. :(

    1. I noticed that too - I ordered a pair of swim bottoms and a rash guard and had to pay shipping. Both were final sale, so maybe they take away free shipping when swim items go to final sale?

  7. Its amazing how inexpensive some of this stuff is right now! Things that were $100+ a few weeks ago can be had for $25 - $30. And there's definitely some popback goodies from fall/winter of this year. Nothing that I need to have, but if you are in the market for some cute stuff at great prices, there's a lot out there for really great prices.

  8. OT, but does anyone have styling ideas for the gingham bow top for work and play? I can't decide how to style it, but I had to have it :)

    1. I don't love it with the green that J. Crew showed it with (one of their rare color mixing mishaps, I think.)

I think it would look quite cute with black, Minnie-style pants for work (slim, ankle pants). If you could find the right pink, I think it would also look nice with light pink (either on the bottom or a blazer).

I'd wear it with dark, wide-legged denim. Those colors would look nice with gold or cream, too.

    2. I have the gingham tank and love it. I always get compliments. I have worn it with the muted green shorts and it is really cute. In the fall I will wear it with a dark rust cardigan and navy crops or jeans.

  9. I bought the gingham bow top as well and I haven't worn it yet. I also bought the matching skirt so I will wear that together. I also think it would be cute with white toothpick jeans, white linen gazebo pants, white let out hem denim skirt, white rayner jean. Basically any white bottom and also the white clip dot midi....Fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, shrimp salad, shrimp scampi, shrimp creole...LOL

  10. Had a shirt in the cart that was on sale for about $80 down from $92.

Decided to get it and then this afternoon it's regular price and not eligible for the 50% off sale.

Enough of the pricing games J.Crew! I'm going to give David's Foot Wear my money and get the Cole Haan ZeroGrands. See ya 'crew and your ridiculous price changing.

  11. Collection embroidered summer top is $40 after discount, a steal. It's gorgeous and TTS. I bought before the last price drop and don't regret. It's almost sold out now, but this am most sizes were available so I'm sure some will pop back.

Another steal if you can catch it is the collins loafer in alabaster or navy. Super comfy, TTS, and $60 before discount. (Steal even at $60 with no discount.)

    1. Also got the point sur denim with cashmere for $50 this morning. I actually just bought it a couple days ago for $96 and thought I was getting a good deal then... For warm jeans, it's worth having a second pair. I haven't rec'd them yet, so don't even know how they fit, but even if they are loose (reviews tend to say they run large), for $50, warm and comfy and baggy is fine...

    2. Ooooh, love that top, wish I'd seen it sooner. I'm looking for a beautiful white top to wear for a party, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for a popback in my size. Reviews say it runs large, but you say TTS, do you mind if I ask which size you bought? I'm normally a 12 in tops, but can often do a 10 if its sleeveless.

    3. Collection embroidered summer top is now $34 plus 50% off. Not many sizes though. I'm glad I bought one yesterday, as it already shipped.

    1. It looks great on you, Gigi. I love the print but I know the cut of that top would make me look like a pin head. Hoping to get it in the regular button down, or something!

  13. It's nice that they are keeping the sale of the sale section going so they can clean out their summer stock. I won't be making any purchases however until they offer a promo code for a percentage off regular priced items that I have been anxious to purchase.

I do want to say that the new August 2016 Style Guide is excellent! Smiling models in actual backdrops and not a white blank space with goofy blank expressions on their faces. This Style Guide is refreshing and reminiscent of the old JC we all loved. And the offerings are exciting as well! Have my eye on quite a few things.

    1. Yes, I just saw it online for $34.99 before the 50% off. The only color/size left is navy in size 4.

  16. I bit on a few things this morning - the denim pencil skirt in parkmount wash (darker wash), the ivory Collins loafers and the neon hibiscus Tippi. The loafers are a fantastic deal at $30 - hoping to snag the navy! Not sure how I'm going to pair the ivory loafers but for the price I figured I'd give them a shot :)

  17. Just picked up two cotton rib-trim sweaters in the orange and navy as well as the polka dot midi pleated skirt. I just could not resist.
