  1. I don't say it enough, but I absolutely love this community. All of the reviews and IRL pics are so helpful. I wanted to purchase a past season item on eBay, and with a quick search I was able to read some reviews and see some pics on JCA 'satellite' blogs. There is just such a wealth of information out there in the Crewniverse now, and it's fantastic. Thank you all for taking the time to post pics, try on multiple sizes, do try-ons only for the sake of the blog...in all honesty, it's probably better than having reviews on jcrew.com (although I think they still should!) because they're uncensored. It's also great to see how helpful JCA's are with coupon codes, JCAWWFIFY (we will find it for you), helping others understand policies, promo and pricing lists (Gigi and FFM), styling ideas (Polyvore as well). Thank you to Alexis as always for providing an amazing forum, and thanks to all of you that make JCA a place that I love to visit, no matter what my feelings are towards JC at the time. :)

    1. Silver_lining, I totally agree. I am pretty addicted to J Crew past seasons on Ebay and have bought some great items and passed on some doozies based on the reviews from this community. Thanks you reviewers.

  2. I was in the store yesterday just browsing (I made an online purchase earlier with a bounce back card thanks to an Aficianada)but I saw the 3/4 length striped t-shirt with jeweled collar people have been mentioning. It comes in like burgundy/dark grey and a white/pale peach color. I love the burgundy/grey I will be buying it as soon as there is a promo I can use on it. The shirt is 65 dollars full price and if it pops online I likely would be tempted to just buy it full price because it is THAT pretty in person.

    1. The colors are interesting -- I bought a navy striped one (with ivory background).

    2. I didn't see a navy one at my store. They probably just haven't put it out yet.

    3. I saw all three of these shirts in my B&M yesterday and they are stunning. Like you I'm plotting for the burgundy when a promo hits, but I think the navy & white stripe is even prettier -- alas, I already have 200 navy & white striped shirts and can't justify getting both ;)

  3. I concur with the above statement.

As for my current JC love, it would have to be the Factory Boy Blazer in navy. It is a wool blend, but I actually like that because the fabric is very soft and lightweight - perfect to wear year round. The fit is exactly like the School Boy. I love that they didn't skimp and made the buttons on the sleeves and the pockets fully functional. I purchased the blazer earlier this summer when the store was running a promo of 50% off on everything. I will not be over exaggerating if I say that I receive a compliment every time I wear the blazer.

  4. I love this community, too. Its so helpful and nice.

I also love that I am wearing my Pixie pants to work today and they are essentially glorified leggings but they look so nice and professional because of the ticker material and the seams on the back.

I am head to toe J. Crew today with the Pixie's, the Tilda Oxford, the merino boyfriend v-neck and the viv snakeskin flats.

This should probably go in reviews, but:
I received my WIT20 order and I'm keeping it all. The [now almost sold out] pleated chiffon blouse in gingham pinot noir, the collection silk mohair sweater (LOVE THIS!). Its the perfect slouchy cozy sweater and the material is soft and the color is beautiful) and the studded everly pumps in pale thisle. The studded Everlys might be the perfect shoe. The are good for work and play and they feel quite comfortable out of the box.

  5. I love FALL at J. Crew. As many JCAs have observed, it is J. Crew's best season. I look forward to the August/September/October roll outs every year, and I think there will be a lot to love this year!

And isn't it awesome to see the beautiful Lexington-style buttons on jackets again?
