A big "thanks!" to Slastena, who shared the sneak peek from the upcoming August catalog with us. {yey!} Just click on the image to view it larger.
I sad it before and I will say it again: Fall is J.Crew's best season. I bought like crazy from the Fall roll-out from J.Crew Factory yesterday. Now I can't wait to see the rest of the September roll out from J.Crew!
Moreover, "thanks!" to Rosie (in this post) who shared the following tidbit with us yesterday: "I
just got an email from my local store with a special event for
cardholders tomorrow evening. It's signed by a VPS, though not my own
VPS. The email title is "Reap Your Rewards! RSVP FOR 20% OFF YOUR
PURCHASE!!!"The email is specific to my store, but it looks like it's
probably a template from corporate."It might be worth asking your local J.Crew store associate if they too are running a similar event.
What are your thoughts? Do you know when
the newest arrivals are expected to be available? Are you looking
forward to the upcoming new arrivals?
Are there spikes on the shoes? LOVE them!!
ReplyDeleteTeeny84-Those are the studded Everlys. The are online now.
DeleteThank you! I had no idea.
DeleteAlexis, I'd love to know what you bought from Factory and what you loved. I just took a look and like quite a few things and if I hear good reviews I'll take the road trip to check it out! thanks!
ReplyDeleteStray Cat, I purchased some of the Hen collection (like the scarf, cardigan, and sweater) as well as the herringbone jewel-collar sweaters. I am hoping that they are just as nice in person as they look online. I am really excited about them too! :)
DeletePretty jewel-tones and black/white for Fall. I love the new Excursion Vest in Camo. It will also come in Navy Stripe. I ordered the Camo Vest and the double-horse sweatshirt via phone. My store will also have a Style Session next Thursday, like the one that was done in May. Most stores should be doing it then. I'm sure they'll want everyone to show off their stuff on Instagram like last time too.
ReplyDeleteAudreybella, can you tell us what the other color is in the navy stripe? Is it just a skinny vertical stripe? I'm looking forward to seeing the camp one.
DeleteShopWithM- Navy & Vintage Champagne, so an ivory. The solids are Navy, Black and Neon Flamingo
DeleteThere's a girls' stripe excursion vest...similar?
DeleteYes, very similar. I love the Sherpa lining on the Girls vest!
DeleteI also ordered the camo vest. Can't wait to see it and hear others' reviews.
DeleteShopWithM, for some reason that vest is instore at the Park Meadows, CO B&M. Item # 02727, $138 and they had lots of sizes on Monday. It is just like the one from silver_lining without the sherpa lining.
DeleteThanks everyone! It looks really cute. I sort of wish it did have the Sherpa lining! :)
DeleteAfter reading about the camo vest I preorder this morning. My order request didn't say anything about a preorder so I chatted with a rep online--she said it will ship out in 1-2 days! I can't wait!!! The same thing happed with the camo utility chinos, it anyone is interested I can let you know what I think when they arrive!
DeleteDang, I meant preordered this morning!
DeleteHow are you ordering the camo vest? I can't find a picture of it. Thanks!
DeleteI wish I didn't have such an addiction to Schoolboy blazers. I want that red/orange color!
ReplyDeleteI also bought from the Factory yesterday. I got the Charley sweater in green polka dot and the Printed Chambray Popover. I need someone to talk me out of getting the French Hen sweater in Parisian White.
I bit yesterday on the girls French Hen shirt dress. I'm on the petite side, so hoping the girls size 14 works! For $38 + 25% with Jcrew card, I think it's worth a try.
ReplyDeleteOh I need those heels!
ReplyDeleteA little off topic but did they send out a lookbook folio yet for the fall season or has anyone aeen one. I'm not talking about the style guide catalog but the fold out card with mostly collection looks. I sorta thought one would be included with the fall rewards card but no. I received one for both fall 2012 and spring 2013. Call me crazy but I like to see what I end up with off this folio each season.
ReplyDeleteNo, they didn't. They sent one with the reward card last time, but this time the card was just a simple birthday-card-sized foldover with info about how to get a VPS.
DeleteAn SA told me today they'll have a new collection in store on Monday!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know how much the embellished hat is?
ReplyDeleteADMD - The Jeweled Baseball Cap is $125, #06187.
DeleteGood gracious, $125 for a baseball cap!
DeleteAnyone tried the foulard pants? They are all silk/no stretch...comfortable? Do they wrinkle like crazy? Can you sit at your desk all day in them?
ReplyDeleteHi! Just got back from my store's cardholder event. (Alexis, I'll send you an email with more details.)
ReplyDeleteI expected disappointment, since at the previous event I attended (at a different B&M) I was pretty much treated like dirt. This event was at the store with consistently better customer service, so I RSVP'd to the VPS.
This one was much better. They had a sign-in book and the "refreshments" were the usual mini water bottles they usually have in the dressing rooms plus mini cupcakes with little J Crew candies on top. Soooo dorky, right? But they were delicious!
An SA offered to get me a room, and as soon as I gave her my first name she smiled, to my surprise said my full name and introduced herself as the VPS from the email. Impressive!
I shopped some fall items and ended up buying a top at full price, plus the 20% cardholder discount.
My only rant about the promo was that check-out was a bit silly. The SA, a different one from the VPS who helped me, applied the promo by scanning.... drumroll.... a bounceback card. Every cash register had one. Yet, when I asked if the 20% discount card promo was still going on, he feigned confusion and said he didn't know what I was talking about. I didn't want to create a big fuss, so I let it go.
Overall, I was pleased with the event and the customer service, and it makes me want to frequent the store I visited today over my usual B&M.
Wait, there's water available in the dressing rooms? I live in AZ and my store is at an outside mall and oftentimes I'm dying of heat by the time i make it to the dressing room. I had no idea there was water available. Kind of a silly thing for me to key in on but I can really think of several times when a cool drink of water would have put me in a mood to shop more/longer.
DeleteJacquelyn, I know the one I frequent the most does since they always offer me one, especially the SAs that I know well. I would ask at yours and see what they say.
DeleteThey've only offered me water a few times, and I think only at the Boton Copley store. Usually it's when the fitting room is ridiculously long or they're trying to perk up tired boyfriends/husbands waiting outside the fitting room for their ladies.
DeleteExtra 30% off sale items with code SHOP30 through Aug. 18.
ReplyDeleteJust saw this on Mashable:
ReplyDeleteJ.Crew's at-home catalog subscribers won't be the first to glimpse the brand's September issue: That honor will fall for the first time to J.Crew's Pinterest followers on Monday morning. September "Sneak Peek" can be viewed on Pinterest here: http://pinterest.com/jcrew/style-guide-sneak-peek/
Happy International Women's Day, Slastena!!! Miss being able to see your blog.
