Endless Summer Sale at J.Crew Factory {40-50% Off}

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know about the following promotion this morning.

Customers can take up to an additional 40-50% off over at J.Crew Factory. Prices are automatically adjusted to reflect the offer. Yey! This offer expires September 2, 2013. The fine print includes:
Prices as marked at jcrewfactory.com. In-store discount applied at register. Valid on purchases made in J.Crew Factory stores & at jcrewfactory.com from 8/27/13, 12:01am ET through 9/2/13, 11:59pm ET. Not valid in J.Crew stores, jcrew.com or on phone orders. Cannot be applied to previous purchases or gift cards & cannot be redeemed for cash. May be combined with one additional offer. Not valid on Toysmith & Natural Products Ltd.™ merchandise. Valid in the U.S. & Canada only. Terms are subject to change.
Quick Note: J.Crew Factory has been sending out a "20% off purchases of $125+" coupon to customers. (They are tucked inside the packages of Factory orders.) The back of the card has a unique one time online code that can be used with this promo. (Thus, making prices even more attractive Yey!) Please keep in mind that the code/offer expires tomorrow, August 28, 2013. So shop soon with it!

Lastly, I am l-o-v-i-n-g the offerings from J.Crew Factory this season. Dare I say this... I think I like them more than regular J.Crew. (Although, I will reserve my final opinion once I see the rest of regular J.Crew's Fall roll-out.) ;)

J.Crew Factory is doing a fantastic job with the styles being offered. A lot of items are already sold out, like the Factory Warmspun Herringbone Jewel-Collar Sweater in Cabernet.  Even their jewelry (which I normally stay away from) is nice!

Will you be taking advantage of this latest promotion? What are your thoughts on this sale? Are you loving the latest Fall arrivals from Factory?

  1. The Factory Warmspun Herringbone Jewel-Collar Sweater in Cabernet also comes in Carbon Black. I don't know what it looks like, but when the Warmspun Herringbone Jewel-Collar Sweater was released and sold out so quickly, I kept watching the website for it to reappear. A few days later I did an online chat and I was told it would be offered in a different color. However, CS said they could not show me a picture because they don't have access to one. I preordered it anyway.

    1. Did you order this recently? I just tried tonight and they said it was completely sold out and they wouldn't be getting more in.

    2. I placed the order on 8/17. The estimated ship date was 8/26 so who knows what's going on. I hope they don't cancel the order.

    3. Choctini, I would try calling again. I just called customer service and was able to purchase the Carbon Black version of the Warmspun Herringbone Jewel-Coller sweater on pre sale. However, at first the customer service rep couldn't give me any information, told me she saw the sweater on her system but had no information on estimated product delivery, etc. I was my persistent self, and kept asking questions so she put me on hold and spoke with a product specialist who told her that she could sell it to me on pre sale. The product specialist also told the customer service rep that the sweaters were supposed to be on the website next week.

    4. ETA I just talked to a personal stylist at J Crew Factory and she told me that they do not do pre sale for Factory items. The customer service rep I initially talked to was mistaken. I was told the only way to order is when the product officially launched online.

    5. I also tried to order and couldn't do it either. Thanks for the update.

    6. ETA #2 ok this is bizarre. I just got a order confirmation from Factory for the Jewel Collar warmspun sweater in carbon black. So I guess the pre sale did go through. Hopefully I'll actually get thr shipping notice at some point!

    7. I received a shipment confirmation on 8/30. Hopefully, when I open the box, it will be the Jewel Collar Sweater. CS can be so confusing. When I use the online chat or call, I have little hope that I'm receiving the correct info. Good luck to both of you.

  2. I ordered two of the factory excursion vests a few days ago when the 30% off sale was live and used my rewards card too. I lived in the herringbone retail version last year and actually prefer the simpler style versus this year's retail excursion vest.

Anyone have an idea when the next fall release will be for J.Crew retail?

  3. Thinking about picking up the Factory Suiting Jacket and the Emmaleigh dress dupe for my SIL as a grad gift.

How does the Factory Emmaleigh compare to retail? People say it runs slightly shorter? Anyone try it on recently? She's 5-9 and the retail 2 was perfect, albeit a bit big in the chest. Worried she will swim in the 4.
    http://factory.jcrew.com/womens-clothing/suiting/dresses/PRDOVR~02537/02537.jsp?color_name=black

Also, how does the Factory Suiting Jacket run compared to the retail 1035 suiting jacket? It looks boxier.

She lives out of the country so I will send the suit with my MIL. Do you think J.Crew would extend the return period for me?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hi Flower Power! The factory version of the Emmaleigh is maybe SLIGHTLY shorter than retail, but not by much. I am 5'9" too and I want the berry one which I would wear to work in a fairly conservative office. I think the sizing is the same as retail - I needed a 6 in both.

The suiting jacket is a bit shorter than the 1035 jacket, but I don't find it boxy. It works for me at 5'9", the sleeves are even ALMOST long enough, but I didn't buy one because the matching skirts are super short and so are the pants.

The wool on the factory emmaleigh is really nice, I must say. So smooth!

  6. I picked up the Factory version of the Schoolboy blazer in heather caramel and the Matchstick cords in cabernet over the weekend with the 25% off student discount. I love them both.

I might look to see what else there is online though.

  7. Hey, quick question for everyone-has anyone else noticed that the Tippi sweater in ivory and grey French knot that was featured in the latest catalog never showed up online? I called customer service and they're saying it's sold out, but I'm certain that it never showed up online. They also told me that it's not in stock in any stores either. Kind of annoying that they would show something in the catalog that isn't available to buy!

    1. Yup, I wondered that too...I was really hoping to buy that sweater but I never saw it online nor in stores. Sigh.

  8. The pricing changes are just silly!! I ordered with the 30% code last week. Here's the price I paid then and what they are saying is 40-50% off:

Long pencil skirt-I paid $62 with tax, now its $57 before tax (this one actually seems to have gone from 30% to 40% off since last week...)

Cotton Charley-I paid 27 with tax, now its $27 before tax (so its more now, with 40-50% off?)

Merino Charley-I paid 38 with tax, now its $41.50 before tax. (Again, now its more?)

    I hate the games.

  10. I'm loving the Factory offerings recently, but all the items I'd be interested in are still too pricey for my tastes.

Are there any reviews out there comparing the Factory and JCrew blazers? At a cursory glance and feel, they seem very similar to me, but the Factory price tag is obviously more attractive.

    1. The Factory tailored blazer is a little lighter and a wool blend, but I like that. I just got it so I can't speak to how long it will last, but I imagine if you take care of it that it will be fine.

      Delete
    2. Dmitri As mentioned the wool Factory tailored blazer has less wool content, but honestly it looks and feels the same to me as the retail wool flannel classic (not new version) schoolboys. I have a few different fabrics of the Factory version of the schoolboy, including seersucker and black watch plaid in a wool blend from past seasons, and I just purchased the houndstooth and vivid jade from the recent rollout. I haven't worn my recent purchases yet as it's still 85+ degrees, but I love the fit and look of them, and my past season purchases have held up well. I stuck with my normal J Crew size. I also recently purchased the factory suiting blazer which is 100% wool. I really like it, but I haven't purchased a J Crew retail suiting blazer in a really long time so hard for me to compare. Again I stuck with my typical J Crew size. HTH

  15. I have always found the fit of factory items to run so differently, in a way that was just not comfortable. I'm not sure if it's their cuts, or fabrics, or boths. Either way - I enjoy visiting the factory store when I am near one, but do not buy from them online.
